GT Writing Task 1

You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.

You would like to participate in a work-related seminar in another country. Write a letter to the
person in charge of the seminar and ask for detailed information regarding the dates, program,
accommodation and cost.

Write at least 150 words.

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Sir or Madam,

Model Answer 1:

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am Rona Lyn Olivar, an ICU Nurse at the Urdaneta City Sacred Heart Hospital, located in the province of
Pangasinan in the Philippines. I have learned from a colleague that you will conduct an Electrocardiogram Training
in Singapore. I am writing to ask for some specific information regarding the seminar schedule, program details,
accommodation arrangement and the cost.

Firstly, with regards to dates and time, what will be the seminar schedule and what time would it begin and end each
day? Secondly, please notify me of the topics and speakers of the program. I am wondering if there is any special
consideration for the registered nurses who will be attending the seminar? And finally, I would also like to know
about the accommodation and the cost. Would the accommodation be arranged by you or should an individual be
responsible for that? What would be the approximate cost to attend and successfully finish the seminar?

I am very much interested in attending the seminar and your reply would help me plan for it in advance. So, I am
looking forward to hearing from you soon regarding my concerns.

Yours faithfully,

Rona Olivar

Sample Answer 2:

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am Swathi Reddy, currently working as a software engineer in India. I have learned about your seminar on Ethical
Hacking, scheduled to be held in Sydney, Australia in December 2018, through an advertisement in a newspaper. I
am planning to attend this workshop and need some further details.

The seminar schedule was not mentioned in the advert. Hence, I would like to know the duration and schedule of the
workshop. I would be glad if you can also give me a brief of the program: which aspects of Ethical Hacking will be
covered as part of the workshop and if there will be any hands-on or will it be just a theoretical session. Please
inform me how much it would cost to book my seat. Lastly, as I will be travelling from India, I would like to know
about the accommodation arrangement. Is there any living place provided by you? If not, could you please let me
know of the hotels nearby along with the probable cost per night including meals?

Thank you in advance for your reply. I am looking forward to attending the seminar.

Yours faithfully,

Swathi Reddy

Model Answer 3:

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to request some information regarding the conference that your organisation is going to conduct next
month in Perth Australia, as advertised in the Daily Heralds. I am hoping that you would provide me with these
details as soon as possible so that I can book my seat for the workshop.

First off, I would like to know the exact schedule of the symposium to sanction the leaves from my work. Is there
any prerequisite to attend the conclave? If so, what are they?

Secondly, the venue details with a navigational map would be highly appreciated as I will be travelling to Perth for
the first time. Are the participants expected to bring their personal laptop and other stationery?

Finally, who would be responsible for the accommodation - the participants themselves or your organisation? Can I
book a hotel of my own? What will be the total cost for a participant from the UK and if there is an early bird
discount provided that booking is done well in advance?

I am hoping to receive your reply before next Friday. Your help and time will be greatly appreciated.

Yours faithfully,

Dev Odedra

Model Answer 4:

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to get some details about the seminar - New Techniques of Production Management, which your
organisation will administer in London. I am hoping that you would reply to my queries so that I can book my seat
for the symposium.

I am working as a production manager in a large home appliances company in Iran for the last five years and I think
this seminar would be helpful to me as it covers some new approaches to managing workers and manufacturing
lines. I believe this seminar would enhance participants' knowledge and skills in different management manners and
styles applied in the home appliance manufacturing industry.

As I did not obtain all the information that I need from your advertisement, I would like to know the date and
schedule of the seminar. What kind of accommodation would you prepare for the participants, if at all? Finally, how
much the registration would cost? Can I book and pay online? If so, give me details instruction, please.

I look forward to hearing from you at your earliest.

Yours faithfully,
Milad Rahimi

You took your family to a nearby restaurant. You were disappointed with the meal and wish to
complain to the manager.

Write a letter to the manager of the restaurant. In your letter,

» explain why you were at the restaurant

  » describe the problems
» write about the action you want the manager to take

Write at least 150 words.

You do NOT need to write your own addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Sir or Madam,

Model Answer 1:

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am a regular diner at your restaurant on the Madison Avenue. I am writing to express my discontent with the meal
that I and my family had at your restaurant last Thursday. I am hoping that you would take actions to improve your
food quality and maintain your reputation.

Recently, I have been promoted to the Senior Internal Auditor in my office and to celebrate this event, I took my
family out to one of your outlets on Madison Avenue. We ordered four servings of shrimp fried rice, but we were
shocked to discover that the shrimp in our serving was undercooked and had a pungent odour. After complaining
about it to the supervisor, we were told that the restaurant had run out of shrimps - not a valid excuse for a
distinguished restaurant like yours. You can understand my frustration when my family and I had to leave the
restaurant empty stomach and disappointment.

My intention in writing this letter is to ask you to issue a show cause notice to the supervisor at your restaurant, and
disseminate instructions to all your staff to hold a modicum of buffer stock for every item, just in case the restaurant
runs out of that item and so that no customer experiences a humiliation.

Yours faithfully,

Muhammad Sameed

Model Answer 2:

Dear Sir or Madam,

I visited your restaurant on 11th May with my family to celebrate my sister’s birthday. We usually enjoy your food
but this time it was disappointing. I am hoping that you would keep your food quality intact and take action
regarding the bad dining experience we have had.

We have always considered your restaurant as the most classy French cuisine place in town. Since my sister lives in
France, we dine at your restaurant every time she is in our country. This time it was even more special as we were
celebrating her birthday. But the whole event was ruined due to the dishes we were served.

I suppose you can imagine our disappointment when we found the onion soup absolutely inedible. It was cold, and it
appeared your chef did not stir it well while cooking. Some clogs of flour were visible in the soup. Moreover, the
main course was cold and not up to our expectation. They tasted very ordinary and hackneyed but we paid almost
thrice for these items! We asked a waitress about the reasons and she had no plausible excuse for that.

I am looking forward to hearing that you have taken necessary steps to maintain your reputation and food quality.
Otherwise, you have already lost a customer.

Yours faithfully,

Elizabeth Harley

Your neighbours have recently written to you to complain about the noise from your house flat.

Write a letter to your neighbours. In your letter

 explain the reasons for the noise

 apologise for the noise
 describe what action you will take

Write at least 150 words.

Sample Answer 1:

Dear Mr and Mrs Williams,

I hope you are doing great. It is a shame that we do not know each other very well and I would like to apologise for
that. I am writing this letter in response to your complaint letter that you sent me yesterday about the noise from my
flat. I sincerely apologise for the inconvenience and humbly ask for your forgiveness.

With the concern about home safety, my wife and I decided to install a few smoke detectors in our flat, especially
after we saw a devastating fire in our neighbourhood lately. We bought the devices from an online store and started
to install and test the gadgets last Sunday. To ensure that the sound of the fire alarm is loud enough and everyone in
the house would notice it, we tested the devices for about 30 minutes. Although the testing took place at midday on
last Sunday, my wife and I are terribly sorry that your child’s nap was interrupted.

I really regret the event and request your forgiveness. Please accept this box of chocolate as a token of my deepest
regret for the inconvenience. We will be more careful next time.

Yours sincerely,

Paul Lesner

Model Answer 2:

Dear Mr and Mrs Smith,

Earlier today, I received your complaint letter regarding the loud commotions from my flat. It is a real shame that
you had to suffer due to my oversight. I sincerely apologise for the incidence and assure you that it will not happen
again.

Last Wednesday I hired a firm to redecorate my place. The decorators had to relocate all my furniture to complete
their work. They also used some heavy machinery to complete their endeavour. That is why you have been catching
all these loud reverberations.

I understand that I owe you an apology as all these ruckuses were caused due to me and I should have informed you
beforehand. Anyway, I do apologize, and I will owe you a cup of coffee for this. I hope we will still be on friendly
terms after this incident.

About the sound problem, I have already instructed the personnel to tone down the noise level, so your apartment
should already be relatively silent. I hope this measure is enough to appease you. By the way, the work will be
completed tomorrow.

Thanks for your patience on this matter. Please come by tomorrow evening and I will show you around my freshly
revamped flat.

Yours Sincerely,

Lisa Moon

Model Answer 3:

Dear Mr & Mrs Johnson,

I am writing in response to your complaint letter about the noise from my apartment. I feel that I have to explain
myself and humbly ask for your forgiveness.

I am a student of the North Carolina Arts College and as a part of my term final, I have to perform in 4 plays and
play the flute and guitar. Therefore, I have to rehearse every day because I am eager to make a good impression on
my teachers. To achieve my goal, I have been practising for about 3 hours a day for the last one week.

I must apologise for playing in inappropriate hours. It was all my fault since I did not clearly know the rules of our
apartment that prohibits playing any musical instrument loudly. However, I have consulted with my class teacher
and he suggested me to use one of the college rooms to rehearse for a small fee. I assure that you will not be
disturbed again by any means by the noise from my flat.

I request your forgiveness. Please, accept this box of home-made cookies as a token of my appreciation for not
giving this problem a legal action from your end.

Yours sincerely,

Mark Arther

You recently took a part-time job working for a local company. After a few weeks, you realised
there were some problems with the job.

Write a letter to the manager of the company. In your letter:

  - explain why you took the job

  - describe the problems that you experienced
  - suggest what could be done about them

Model Answer 1:
Dear Mr Chen,

I am Rona Lyn Olivar, one of the part-time receptionists at your Sea View Hotel. I have been working here since
July and I have taken the job to gain some experience that I thought would be helpful for my future career. I am
writing to draw your attention to a few issues I have encountered in the hotel. I am hoping that you would take steps
to solve these.

I have noticed that some of the duty staffs at night shift sleep inside the hotel's quarter instead of being at the
reception area. Literally, I and Lindsay- who is also a new employee, work and manage everything at night. They
even do not bother to come to the reception area at busy hours when we have an influx of guests - usually on Friday
nights. I believe this is against the rules.

Moreover, the breakfast is supposed to be ready before 7.00 am but it is not the case. Sometimes the guests have to
wait till 8.00 am for the breakfast to arrive. Some of the guests have lodged complained regarding this.

I thought you should be notified about these irregularities.

Duty officers at night shift should be reprimanded and warned so that they execute their duties. Besides, look at the
recent complaints regarding the delay in breakfast serving and talk to the head chef.

I look forward to your response regarding this matter.

Yours sincerely,

Rona Olivar

Model Answer 2:

Dear Mr Harris,

I am a part-time call centre operator at your company, started working about 4 weeks ago. I am writing to indicate
some of the problems I encountered during my work. I am hoping that you would investigate these issues and
resolve them.

I decided to take the position of a telesales specialist because I want to develop a career in the digital sales industry.
Besides, it offers a flexible time and does not contradict my class schedule. However, I realised there are some
obstacles that need your intervention.

The problems started almost a fortnight ago when the system administrator updated my computer's operating
system. A few days ago, while I was querying a customer for her personal data, my computer restarted and this
person’s profile was lost. This occurred several times afterwards. I asked the system administrator to solve it, but he
did nothing about it!

The software that manages our calls often deliver far more calls per hour than we can handle. The person in charge
did not listen to our request and asked us to contact you.

I believe that the system administrator should be show caused due to his negligence and the call-flow should be
rational. More calls demotivate us do not mean more sales.

Sincerely yours,

Ben Flip

Model Answer 3:

Dear Mr Patrick,
I am working as a part-time computer operator in your office for the last six weeks. I took the job to fund my
internship in a software programming course. Today, I am writing to raise some concerns about the problems I
facing on the job and hoping your intercession to solve them.

I was told at the time of joining that the working hours would be from 2.00 to 6.00 pm. However, I have been
working from 2.00 to 10.00 pm for the last couple of days. Unfortunately, the person who is supposed to come at
7.30 pm sharp, does not show up until 10.00 pm.

Moreover, my supervisor forces me to work on Fridays, which according to my job contract is not mandatory.
Although I had managed to work on Friday until the last week by missing a few lectures at college, it seems
unmanageable in the future as this will affect my studies.

I would really appreciate if you could talk to our supervisor about these problems and offer me a solution as early as
possible. Otherwise, I would have to quit the job, even though I enjoy my work and love working for your company.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Yours sincerely,

Model Answer 4:

Dear Mr Anderson,

I would like to thank you for giving me the opportunity to work in your company as a part-time cost-benefit analyst.
So far I have been enjoying my work but some issues have raised that need your interference to resolve. I am hoping
that you would help me work even more efficiently by solving them.

I joined your company on 20th September as a part-timer and gaining experience and supporting my university
tuition were my reasons to take a job. My job contract was to work with you three days a week. Recently our team
lead has instructed me to work four days per week which will contradict my class schedule.

Besides, the computer I was given is not suitable to do my work. Despite assurance from the IT department, I am yet
to receive a high configuration laptop. In fact, I am using my own laptop to work with the Primavera Software and I
am worried about losing project data if some technical problems occur.

I hope that I have not raised any irrational complaints and really need your help to work efficiently.

Yours faithfully,

Milad Rahimi

For the past year, you have been a member of a local club. Now you want to discontinue your
membership.

Write a letter to the club secretary. In your letter

 state what type of membership you have and how you have paid for this
 give details on how you have benefited from the club
 explain why you want to leave
 Model Answer 1:
 Dear Mr Martin,

I have been an exultant member of your club for more than 2 years. I first enrolled as a member in 2016 and
next year my membership was upgraded to Silver Associate with a monthly fee of $50, paid every first
Monday of the month. I regret to inform you that I can no longer continue my membership in the club as I
will relocate to a different city soon.

This club has given me numerous benefits by providing activities, such as yoga classes that I am really fond
of, as well as access to the gymnasium and swimming pool. Not to mention that there are always generous
discounts on the food in the buffet restaurant. I have truly enjoyed my access to the library that helped me
read many books.

Sadly, given my circumstances, I would have to discontinue my membership at this club. The reason is that I
will soon be moving to another city. Thus, I would no longer be able to attend any activities held in this
place. If I am not mistaken, my $250 deposit will be returned to me upon membership cancellation. Please
advise should there be any particular form that I need to fill in.

Thank you. I look forward to hearing from you.

Yours sincerely,

Helen Kelly

 Model Answer 2:
 Dear Mrs Watson,

I regret to inform you that I can no longer maintain my classic membership with your club from next month
onwards. I am Andrew Scott, living a few blocks away from the club and have been a member since the
beginning of its journey. I would request you to cancel my membership from next month.

I paid my monthly membership fee online and it was £35 per month. Attached documents show my last six
months' transactions to the club and all my transactions are paid in time.

This club is indeed a blessing to our locality as the community members did not have enough recreational
facilities and just had a jogging track without any proper marking. But with the emergence of this
distinguished club, they were benefitted profoundly. I personally gained from it enormously - I made some
good friends, learned the rules of various games, took part in outdoor activities and last but not least, learned
valuable skills.

With a heavy heart and immense regret, I am discontinuing my bond with this club due to my recent job
transfer to the USA. I have no words to fill my sorrow over this decision, but I feel this is just the softest way
to communicate my decision.

Sincerely yours,

Andrew Scott

 Model Answer 3:
 Dear Mr Brooke,

I regret to inform you that I have to discontinue my level 2 membership at your Golden Hook Fishing Club. I
joined the Club a year ago and the benefits of the participation well exceeded the membership fee. I am
hoping that you would help me finish the official procedure to cancel my membership.

I received numerous benefits from the club as a level 2 member. The roundtables and lectures of famous
fishermen were absolutely brilliant. Moreover, discounts on the equipment in sports gear shops was a money
saver. Last but not least, your monthly illustrated magazine was a precious treat for me.

Unfortunately, I have to move to France next month because of my father's health condition. I must
acknowledge that continuing the membership of your Club is no longer an option for me as I will be leaving
London soon.

I have paid my monthly fee using my credit card and its details could be found in your database. I request
you not to charge me any membership fee for the next month. I am ready to fill in the membership
cancellation form at your office next Monday.

I wish every success of this club and its members.

Yours sincerely,

John Philip

 Model Answer 4:
 Dear Mr Robinson,

I have been a member of your fitness and wellness club for the last 2 years. I have been immensely
benefitted from my membership but unfortunately, I can’t continue it because of my broken legs. I am
hoping that you would allow me to cancel my membership effective from next month.

I joined the club in September 2016 and I enjoy the gold membership which charges me $45 per month.
With my membership, I am allowed to use the gym, yoga classes, and physicians' advice. I have paid all of
the membership fees in time using my Visa Card and I really am satisfied with your the benefits the club
offers to its members.

Unfortunately last week, towards the end of my work, I slipped and fell on a wet floor and broke my leg. It
was a severe accident and the doctors did surgery on my leg. According to the doctor's advice, I should not
take part in any form of exercises until I fully recover. Considering the situation, I cannot continue my
membership at your club for at least 4-5 months. So, please cancel my membership and I hope to return to
your club once I feel fit for that.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Yours sincerely,

Milad Rahimi

You are employed full-time and also doing a part-time evening course. You are not able to
continue the course.

Write a letter to the course lecturer. In the letter

 explain why you cannot continue the course

 describe the situation
 say what you will be doing about it
 Model Answer 1:
 Dear Mr Phillip,

I am a pupil of your evening Spanish language course in which I got enrolled last week. However, I will not
be able to continue the course due to a sudden foreign official tour. I am hoping that you would allow me to
intake it from next semester.

I am working in the risk management division of Prime Bank Limited. This bank has a subsidiary company
in Hong Kong where an incident has been reported by the governing authority. For that, I will have to travel
to Hong Kong next week with a team to analyze the whole situation, scrutinise the allegations against the
company and take appropriate measures. The whole process might take more than two months, and I cannot
continue my evening language course under your supervision for that.

Under the circumstances, I would like to request you to transfer me to the next semester and allow me to take
the course without any further registration.

Your cooperation in this regard will be highly appreciated.

Yours sincerely,

Safayet Ullah
 Model Answer 2:
 Dear Dr. Jones,

I am one of your students from the evening course you conduct on treating emergencies in the BMM
Medical University. I am writing to inform you that I can no longer attend your evening lectures due to the
recent work pressure from my job but willing to complete the course myself.

I am working as a full-time nurse at the Thompson Hospital. My shift usually ends at 5.00 pm. However, due
to an increasing number of patients in our hospital in the last couple of weeks, I find it impossible to leave
the hospital before 6.00 pm and thus have missed many of your lectures. This disappoints me a lot since I
understand how important it is for me to complete this course.

As a solution and since I really want to finish this course, I would be grateful if you could consider letting
me study for the course from home. My job is closely related to treating the patient with accidents, and I feel
I can learn every point of the course in practice. In addition, I have read almost every book you
recommended as the supplementary reading for your lectures and can follow your lecture sheets at home.

I hope to get your approval on this. I am looking forward to receiving your response soon.

Sincerely yours,

Nadia Afsana

You are going to visit New Zealand for an 'English and Homestay' program. You have just
received details of your homestay host family.

Write your first letter to the family. In your letter

 introduce yourself
 ask the family some questions to get information that is important to you
 tell the family about your arrival date and time
 Model Answer 1:
 Dear Mr and Mrs Smith,

I'm Milad Rahimi from India, have recently registered for two-weeks English Homestay programme at your
house in New Zealand. I am fascinated to have you as my mentor during the programme. I really appreciate
your letter that I received yesterday and writing for some information and to notify you my arrival date.

I am really delighted that you have agreed to host me for the programme. This will definitely enable me to
fully immerse myself in the English Culture and further enhance my understanding of your tradition and way
of life. As I am coming to New Zealand for the first time, I am not familiar with the weather and I don’t
know what kind of clothes I should bring with me. Would you please suggest me on that? I would also like
to inform you that I am a vegetarian. Moreover, I would need your suggestion on belongings that I should
bring with me to your house. Finally, I would appreciate your advice on the type of books I should read
about New Zealand that might help me understand your culture.
I will arrive in Auckland on 20th September at around 7.30 pm if my flight makes no delay.

I look forward to meeting you soon.

Yours Sincerely,

Model Answer 2:
Dear Mr Johnson,

I have just received details of my English Homestay programme at your family and writing to introduce
myself and ask for some information. I would like to thank you for agreeing to host me.

My name is Anna Ferra, I am 21 and live with my family in Lyon, France, which is my hometown. My
native language is French and I am looking forward to improving my English during the trip to New
Zealand. I will get enrolled in university soon and I am passionate about computer programming.

I would be grateful if you could provide me with some information about your house and family. To begin
with, I would prefer to live in a single room which has enough natural air flow. Besides, I am a vegetarian
and hope that it would not be a big problem for you. Secondly, I would like to learn more about your
family’s daily routines, like the games you like to play together, the type of TV programmes you watch and
so on. This could help me to participate in all your routines like a relative.

I am very eager to meet you in person. By the way, I have already bought the plane ticket and would be
happy if you could meet me at the airport. This is my first time in New Zealand. I will hopefully arrive on
September 18, at 10 am, Wellington time.

I am looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Sincerely yours,

Anna Ferra

You travelled by a long distance bus recently and your suitcase was damaged.

Write a letter to the bus company. In your letter

 inform the bus company of when and to where you travelled

 describe your suitcase and what happened to it
 explain why the company should pay for a new suitcase
 Model Answer 1:
 Dear Sir or Madam,

I am a regular commuter of your bus service- Maple Tree Transportation, and I travelled from Edmonton to
Calgary on April 5th. Unfortunately, my new suitcase was completely damaged due to the carelessness of
your bus staffs and I am writing to claim compensation for that and would request you to investigate the
issue so that it does not happen to any other commuter.

With regards to the incident, I took a bus from the Edmonton city station at 2.00 pm and reached the Calgary
bus bay at 8.00 pm on 5th April 2018. I checked in a suitcase made by American Tourister and it contained
my personal belongings. I instructed the bus staff to handle it with care. Unfortunately, when I arrived at
Calgary bus bay and noticed my suitcase, its bottom part was completely torn down. I am sure this happened
because someone very forcefully pulled it in and out of the luggage box. On top of that, the left wheel of my
suitcase was also broken into pieces. This happened because your bus staffs bungled my luggage.

Mishandling of passengers luggage is not acceptable. My brand new suitcase got vitiated due to inadequate
management and disregard of your bus staff. Therefore, I request a quick action in this regard and ask for full
payment for the damage caused to the suitcase. I am attaching the receipt of the suitcase which I purchased
last month. Also, talk to the bus staffs so that they do not repeat that incident.

Awaiting your reply and expecting an immediate action from you.

Yours faithfully,

Andy Odesa

 Dear Sir or Madam,

I am Ethan Deen a regular commuter of your bus. Recently I took your bus to reach Boston and to my
surprise, your staff's mishandling of my luggage caused a severe damage to it. I am writing to claim a
compensation for the property damage while travelling on a bus of your company.

I travelled from Washington, D.C. to Boston on bus #301 on July 21, 2018. The bus left the Greyhound
Station at 9.30 am. Before the trip, I handed over my luggage to the conductor, who helped me to place my
suitcase in the luggage compartment, which was almost empty at that time. After I arrived at the Boston Bus
Station, the person in charge opened the compartment and I noticed that my brand new Gucci suitcase was
smashed under the pressure of the weight of several other luggage.

My suitcase was firm and very beautiful with its modern design. However, it obviously hasn’t been designed
to resist such a weight on it. I am very depressed because I can no longer use this suitcase. Its handle was
bent and two wheels out of 4 were detached.

Since the damage was caused by the careless actions of your employee, I would like to claim my
compensation of $250, which was the original price of my suitcase. Please, deliver a cheque to the address,
written above.

Faithfully yours,

Ethan Deen

You are organising an executive event for the company you work for. Write a letter to the person in charge of a
venue that you are considering for the event and ask for detailed information regarding dates, services and costs.

Model Answer 1:

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to inquire about your exclusive seminar hall that we are planning to reserve for an official event. We
are expecting a few additional amenities in order to accommodate the event without any intervention and to make it
a success.

We will organise the annual get-together party and I would like to know the availability of your seminar hall during
the second week of next March. Our agenda will be staff meet-up followed by an hour-long presentation and it
would conclude with a grand dinner party. We would require a high-resolution LCD projector and the Wi-Fi
connection facility for Laptops. Seating arrangement is expected to be for almost 100 people. We also require
facilities for welcome drinks for guests and dinner for all of them.

I am curious to know about the rates to hire the hall for 6 hours, from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm, with the list of facilities
it offers. Additionally, please send me the menu for dinner including drinks. Also, mention the best possible
concession you can offer and break down the expected expenses. We will not compromise the hygienic and food
quality and we are expecting the party to be organised without any glaring issue from your end.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Yours faithfully,

Mohammed Abu

Model Answer 2:

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to inquire about the availability of your party centre for an executive event. I work for the Robinsons &
Brothers, and we are planning to organise an exclusive event on December 17, 2019. I would like to obtain a few
information to reserve the venue.

First, we are planning for an event where approximately 80 people would be present. We need to hire the venue for
the whole day and you would be responsible for serving welcome drinks and lunch to the guests. Some of our guests
would bring their parents who are senior citizens and might be physically challenged. What arrangements do you
have for such people? Please include some Thai and Chinese dishes on the lunch menu.

I would like to get a confirmation if the venue is available for the mentioned date and how much it would cost us to
reserve it.
You can send me the information, including the menu and details price list, via fax using the number 21-01-254124
or email me at abc@gmail.com . I am confident that you can provide us with the best possible service we need based
on the abundance of positive reviews you have.

Yours faithfully,

Model Answer 3:

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to request some information to reserve your venue for an executive event for Dreko Company Limited.
We will organise the annual board meeting in December for the company stakeholders and investors and expecting
your response to finalise the location.

Firstly, I would like to know the availability of the venue at the end of February 2019. We need the venue for the
whole day and 27th February is our preference for the event. Secondly, a light breakfast during the meeting is
expected to be served and the dinner should be arranged following the meeting. Finally, please inform me of the cost
for all the above-mentioned arrangements. Also, do let me know if we can avail any discounts for that.

We are expecting around 30 guests and would really appreciate if you could provide all these details before the end

Thank you in advance. Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

You will move to a new city for work. You know some people who live there.

Write a letter to someone you know who live there. In your letter

  ask them for help finding accommodation

  tell them where you would like to live
  tell them the type of place you are looking for
 Sample Answer 1:
 Dear Annie,

Hope you are doing fine. It’s been a while since we have written to each other. You will be glad to hear that I
will move to London soon to take a job that I have been offered at Liberty Global. I will reach London in a
few weeks.

As you know, I have never been to London and I am hoping you could help me in finding suitable
accommodation. Though my company has arranged a studio apartment for the first two weeks, I will have to
vacate the place after that.

My preference would be to live close to my workplace, which is in central London, as it would save a lot of
time. If I could get something near the tube station and the marketplace, that would be great. I am mostly
looking for a furnished studio apartment. If the studio apartment is not available, I would not mind sharing a
flat with a girl. But the apartment should be spacious with good ventilation facility. My budget is around
$1000 pound for the studio apartment and half of that for the shared room. Do you think I will get something
in that budget?

I know you have a wide social circle there and would really appreciate your time to find me a suitable
accommodation.

Looking forward to meeting you soon.

Warm wishes,

Preeti Roy

 Sample Answer 2:
 Dear Justin,

Hope this letter finds you in good health. I am writing to let you that I have accepted a new job in California
and I would be working with Optus Corporation from the next month. As you know I have never been to
California so I am seeking your help in finding accommodation.

My office is near the bay area of San Francisco and I shall prefer an apartment with a single bedroom in this
vicinity. The apartment should have an attached bathroom and a small kitchen. I would not mind the rent if
the location is near my office. I would like to live somewhere new, so something in a modern apartment
block would be great. My budget for the accommodation is between 800 to 1400 dollar.

As you have always lived in this city, you must know the place well. Perhaps you can ask a few friends for a
recommendation for such a living place and talk to the landlord about the rent. I would really appreciate your
help.

Hope to see you soon. Take care.

Warm wishes,

Namrata Mou

Model Answer 3:

Dear Mr & Mrs Williams,

You would be happy to hear that I have recently been offered a job in Brisbane and I would move into the South
Bank area soon. It would be an absolute delight to live in your city as I would be able to frequently meet you. I
would like to ask if you can help me find a living place before I arrive.
I believe you could help me to find somewhere to live in as you have a wide social circle. Ideally, I would like to
live close to my workplace which happens to be in the Bank area in Brisbane. If this is not possible, my second
preference is the downtown district. As I do exercise regularly, it would be great to be near a park too.

Obviously, I will be looking for a flat, rather than a house, as it is just going to be me and I won’t be able to afford
too much. So, a place with one bedroom is fine, but I would like to have a private bathroom, a kitchen. I would
prefer to live somewhere new, so anything in a modern apartment block would be great.

I look forward to meeting you soon.

Yours sincerely,

Alan Martin

Your car is hired from a company and while you were driving on holiday, you had a small
accident. You will have to write a report to the company to explain it.

Write a letter to the company. In your letter, you need to explain the following:

 when and where you hired the car

 describe how the accident happened
 what kind of action did you take after the accident
 Model Answer 1:
 Dear Sir or Madam,

I have recently rented a car from your Wandsworth showroom in London for a duration of two weeks.
Unfortunately, I was involved in a minor accident while driving to the Heathrow airport. I am hoping you
would go through the report attached to this letter and handle the incident with professionalism as you
always do.

With regards to the car that I hired, it is a Honda Civic Hybrid sedan car with the number plate GB
LN58RTV. I hired it on 26th May and have paid a week's rent upfront. I would like to commend your
company for their professionalism and the service offered as I have always relied on your service whenever I
needed to hire a car.

Unfortunately, I had an unavoidable accident involving another party while I was off to the airport to receive
my cousin on 02nd June. The accident was caused by the other car failing to stop at the red light at the
intersection I was passing through, and as such, the second party collided into the driver's side of my
automobile. The driver of the other car agreed to pay £800 as a compensation when I informed the police.
The police have recorded information regarding the accident and the other driver’s insurance details. The
second party's insurance company has been informed as well.

I would like to request that a replacement vehicle should be offered while my current vehicle is
incapacitated. Once again, I would like to commend your company's professional attitude.

Yours faithfully,

David Clark

 Model Answer 2:
 Dear Sir or Madam,

I have recently rented a Maruti Suzuki Alto car from your company and let me tell you, you have some
world class employees working with you. The quality of the vehicle was top-notch and you provide an
impressive service as per my experience. I hired this car a week ago from your Chandigarh office. However,
it is a regret that an accident spoiled both my holiday and spirit and caused some damages to the car.
I was driving to Kalka station from Chandigarh to pick one of my friends from the railway station when a
small accident took place. I was standing at the red light when suddenly another car coming at a very high
speed hit my vehicle from behind, leaving the bumper and the silencer of the car somewhat broken.

A police officer on duty has lodged an FIR against the other driver, and after checking all the essential
documents, he has advised the other driver to bear all the charges for the repairing and servicing of the car. I
have reserved this vehicle till 14th March and require it for some important tasks. Hence I sincerely request
you to arrange another car for me. I shall be very thankful to you.

Thank you for giving the matter your attention and I hope to hear your reply soon.

Yours faithfully,

Pooja Gupta

Dear Sir or Madam,

I hired a Maruti Swift Car (Registration Number: MP07 5234) from your city centre outlet, Bangalore, on 12th
September for a duration of four days. I am writing to apprise you of a minor accident that involved that car. I am
hoping you would take necessary actions regarding this.

I have hired this car for a family holiday in Mysore, but unfortunately, the automobile was involved in a small
accident yesterday. As it was dark and in absence of street light, I could not notice an open and large pothole on the
road on time and applied the break suddenly. Due to this, the car behind collided with my car. Although there was no
major damage, only the light on the left-hand side was broken and had a small dent.

Though I have got the light and dent fixed at a Maruti authorised service station, but the small scratches are still
visible. Please accept my sincere apologies. I am willing to pay some extra charges as a compensation if required. You
can send me the final bill to my address and I shall clear all dues within next week.

Please feel free to call me, in case any further information is required.

Thank you advance.

Yours faithfully,

Preeti Ghuraiya

Model Answer 4:

Dear Sir or Madam,

I have hired a Toyota Altis car on 17th August from your head office located at Serangoon, for a period of 15 days.
The registration number of the car is SGT 2345D. I am writing to inform you that I have been involved in a minor
accident earlier today that caused some damages to the car.

I was on my way to my office and at the Raffle city junction, a car from the opposite direction tried to cross the
signal when it was red. Due to his rash driving, his vehicle slightly touched the right side of my car. I tried my best
to avoid it, but could not help much. The driver side's rear view mirror broke and also led to some scratches on the
right side of the car. I reported the incident to the on-duty police and he lodged a complain and informed the other
driver's insurance company.

I am attaching the police report to this letter so that you can review what really happened and claim the insurance for
the repair costs. But I replaced the rearview mirror from the service station as it is very necessary for driving.

I am ready to cooperate regarding this and if you need any further information, I am available at 98765678.

Yours faithfully,
Ankit Gupta

You cannot go to a company where you got an offer. Write a letter to the HR supervisor to:

 explain the reason why you decline the offer

 express your gratitude
 explain why you like your current job very much
 Model Answer 1:
 Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to inform you that I have recently been offered the Landscape Designer position in your
company and I am very grateful for the opportunity. But I regret to say that I cannot accept the offer right
now.

I have known your company for decades and I have heard about the great projects that your company has
recently completed. I appreciate your time on checking my portfolio online and I was flattered when I
received your invitation. Honestly, it took me one week to weigh in my option.

At the end of the day, I decided to decline the offer because I am happy with my achievements and role in
my current company. Besides, I also have a few large on-going projects that I want to finish first to enhance
my portfolio before I decide to explore other job opportunities.

I hope that in the future I will have a chance to work and be a part of the success of your company. Thank
you once again.

 Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing this letter to convey my gratitude for considering me for the position of Assistant Manager at
your company. Unfortunately, I I have decided to continue my work with my present employer and hence
cannot accept your offer.

During my interview, I was impressed by the interviewers and their friendly yet professional attitude. Not to
mention, your company offers a great working environment and prioritises employee growth. I have a friend
who works in your company highly speaks of your management and office environment. However, the
remuneration package that was suggested in the final offer letter is way less than my current salary. My
employer offers several other benefits besides the salary and I see a great career growth here.

I am thankful to you for the opportunity you have offered me. However, considering my job satisfaction with
the current employer and the reward package, I find no other way but to decline your offer. I wish every
success of your company.

Yours Faithfully,

Jayesh Bhuva

 Model Answer 3:
 Dear Sir or Madam,

I have been offered a job at your company as a Business Executive and I would like to profoundly thank you
for such an opportunity. It is, however, a matter of regret that I must decline your generous offer and
apologise for any inconvenience caused due to this.

I appreciate immensely the interview organised by your company and the extensive effort of all the staff
involved. Their attitude was impressive and highly commendable. As such I must pass my sincerest
apologies for any difficulties related to the extra work that must have been involved, and the time wasted on
your behalf. Although the offer was substantial, it was not enough to encourage me to sever the bonds with
my current employer.

During my time at my present company, my superiors supported me tremendously and fostered my career. In
short, they made me the employee I am today. I love my work here and would not leave them only for a
slight salary increase.

I would like to keep the lines of communication open between us and look forward to further
correspondence.

Yours faithfully,

Juan Carter

 Model Answer 4:
 Dear Sir or Madam,

I would like to thank you for considering me as a suitable candidate for the position of Assistant Manager in
your organisation and in fact, I was eagerly waiting for your call. I, however, cannot accept the offer due to
some specific reasons.

I sincerely apologise that I would not be able to join your organisation. There are a couple of reasons why I
am declining this offer: one of them is the job location and the other is the proposed remuneration. I have to
drop off my children at their schools daily and that is why commuting a long distance to reach my office is
inconvenient for me. I find my current job more exciting and rewarding.

In my current job, I have a flexible timing which allows me to keep a balance between my personal and
professional life. Also, I am due for a promotion this year and I am expecting a managerial role to come my
way soon. The roles and responsibilities of this new position would be very challenging and a known team
with whom I have been working for a long would be an advantage.

I would like to thank you again for the job offer but I would like to stay with my current organisation and I
am humbly declining your offer. Wishing your superb team members all the best.

Yours sincerely,

Sam Johnson

You had a good meal at a local restaurant with your family. Write a letter to the newspaper to tell them about it,
describe the meal you had, and why you think the restaurant is worth visiting.

Model Answer 1:

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to share my positive review for the Yummy Restaurant that I believe is a worth visiting dining
establishment in our area.

We celebrated my sister's birthday party last week at this restaurant. Originally, I thought only twenty people would
attend, but apparently, the number increased to thirty. I was worried that it would not be possible for the restaurant
to accommodate more people without prior notice. However, I was pleasantly surprised when the Manager told me
that they could do it and would even upgrade our room to a more spacious one. The overall service was impeccable
and the party was a hit, thanks to the great staff and their professionalism.

We ordered a three-course set menu and the taste was top-notch. The escargot entree was absolutely divine that I
could still remember the taste of its garlic butter sauce. My sister ordered pan-fried salmon fillet with mashed
potatoes as the main course, and people were raving about it. The dessert was a mini-opera which I thought to be
rather average, though it might simply because I do not have sweet teeth.

Overall, we experienced a wonderful night at this restaurant. This place is highly recommended and we have even
started planning our next visit. I believe you should publish an article regarding this establishment in your 'Fine
diners' section so that people can learn about this fabulous place.

Thank you in advance.

Yours faithfully,

Helen Lim

Model Answer 2:

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am a resident of our local community and a photojournalist by profession. I am writing a recommendation to other
citizens, which I believe you would publish in your newspaper, for one of our fine neighbourhood dining
establishments; The Diners' Heart.

I had been to this establishment twice last month and absolutely love their food, professionalism, decor and
behaviours. The décor, free parking, and friendly staffs are something a guest would notice even before he tastes the
food.
I particularly enjoyed their variety of dishes including exotic ones. But for my mind, it was the service along with
the size and quality of the portions that was most memorable. I must mention that they offer a great price.

The service was professional yet intimate, and along with the sheer quantity of the dishes served, their great price
motivated me to pass on my recommendation. I enjoyed their fried rice, and a giant fresh, crisp salad accompanied
by a selection of appropriately selected seasonal vegetables and a fish curry. I finally enjoyed their fabulous desert
item - and all for a reasonable price.

I hope you would help others learn about this establishment so that they can enjoy the food of the town and have
family parties at a great place.

Yours faithfully,

Wilson Miller

Model Answer 3:

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am a resident of Panadura city in Kaluthara district and writing to express my enthusiasm regarding a restaurant
that I visited with my family last week. I believe this is a magnificent place for diners and would like you to publish
a review on it so that others in our community can learn about it

I have visited the establishment - The River View, with my family to enjoy a dinner last Sunday. The surrounding
view is wonderful and it was decorated gorgeously. The decoration and ambiance of the place were mesmerising,
not to mention the well-behaved staff. We ordered fried rice, chicken curry, Parata and Lunumiris and I personally
felt that they had a wide range of dishes we could choose from. We were served very quickly and the food tasted
celestial.  Normally, I don't each much at night, but on that day I had a heavy meal! They offered us a 15% discount
and a complimentary dessert.

All of my family members appreciated the dining experience and mentioned the scrumptious menu they enjoyed.
They thanked me for taking them to a great eatery.

This letter is to inform about this restaurant to the mass people because it is a worth visiting place.

Yours faithfully,

Ashesha Weerasinghe

You celebrated your birthday with some friends last week in a restaurant. It was a great success
and you and your friends enjoyed the evening very much.

Write a letter to the restaurant to thank them. Mention the food, service and the atmosphere. Also, suggest
any improvements to make things better.

Model Answer 1:

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to express my gratitude for the service you offered on 30th December when I visited your restaurant
along with my friends to celebrate my birthday. It was one of the most memorable birthday events in my life and
your staff made it even more special by offering a complimentary birthday cake.

You have definitely won me as one of your permanent customers and I would love to recommend your restaurant to
my acquaintances. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was very soothing and relaxing. Beautiful interior and
wonderful and accurately placed lighting system - neither too bright nor too dim make this place a perfect spot for
celebrations. The taste of the food was just out of the world. Allow me to say that you made me nostalgic as the food
tasted similar to what my mother cooks for me back at home, though this made me miss my home and mother more!

However, I have a suggestion to make. You may think of introducing some discount cards or offer some corporate
discounts to the people of the nearby area. This, I believe, would make our dine-outs more pocket-friendly.

I hope that you would consider this suggestion. Once again, big thanks to you and your staff for making my birthday
more distinctive.

Yours faithfully,

Pooja Gupta

Model Answer 2:

Dear Sir or Madam,

Last week, I along with a few of my friends enjoyed a dinner party at your restaurant to celebrate my 21st birthday. I
am writing to thank you for a delightful evening that we had.

All my friends thoroughly enjoyed the food and were pleased with the friendly attitude of your staff. We ordered a
Chinese menu and it was delicious. We received a prompt service and the waiters were quite friendly. They put with
well with our bad jokes! The restaurant itself was warm and friendly and the atmosphere showed that all the diners
there were enjoying their evening.

I believe you have a great place and a small improvement would make it even better. Two of my friends are
vegetarian and they felt that the choice for vegetarians was not sufficient. I am hoping you would consider adding a
few more items for the vegetarians who would visit your restaurant.

Once again I would like to thank you for making my birthday celebration special and worth enjoying.

Yours faithfully,

Kelvin Smith

Model Answer 3:

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to thank you for a fantastic and memorable evening for me and my friends at your restaurant. I would
love to see you continue offering such appreciating dining experience to your guests and wish remarkable success to
your business.

As you know, last week I celebrated my 27th birthday with my friends at your restaurant which turned out to be a
great success. Everyone enjoyed the arrangement at the poolside and the decoration of sparkling lights with a soft
and soothing music in the background. Coming to the food, the presentation was as mouthwatering as the food itself.
The service was fabulous too.

I am very satisfied with your hospitality. However, I have a suggestion to make. A few friends of mine attended my
birthday party with their children. So if you could have added some interesting games for them that would have
made the party more interesting. I believe it would be very convenient for other people with children.

I once again thank you for your admirable service.

Sample Answer 4:

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to thank you for the fantastic food and service you offered to us on my birthday that we celebrated at
your restaurant. I hope you will offer the praiseworthy service in the future and I must say you have won my heart as
a guest.

I went to your restaurant on 09 December with a few friends of mine to celebrate my birthday and all of us were
very impressed with the overall experience. The food was delicious and well presented. I must mention the
“Chicken Tandoori” dish that was served to us was the star of the evening, cooked to perfection and absolutely
mind-blowing.

I really enjoyed the live music that was being played - it lightened up the whole ambience. I also liked the “Retro
Theme” of the restaurant. We were very pleased with the service; all the staff members were friendly, attentive and
served us with a smile. Our waiter also made a few recommendations for drinks, which were good and something
we enjoyed.

I would like to recommend an improvement - as your restaurant is a non-smoking zone, it would be great if you
could have a separate smoking area thus smokers will feel more comfortable. I am sure your customers will like this
arrangement.

Thank you once again for making my birthday party memorable. My friends and I enjoyed it thoroughly.
I will definitely recommend your restaurant to my friends and family.

Yours faithfully,

Anna Preeti

You have a friend who lives in a city abroad. You have decided that you would like to apply to do
a course at one of the colleges in this city.

Write to your friend explaining what you would like to do. Tell him/her what type of work or studies you
have been doing for the past few years and ask for assistance in contacting an appropriate institution.

Model Answer 1:

Dear Anna,

I hope this letter finds you in good health. I am writing to enquire some details about the Certified Internal Auditor
(CIA) courses at a leading college in London. As you live there, I am hoping you would be able to guide me in
choosing the best college for the course.

As you know, I hail from a family where everyone is involved in the financial sector. Needless to say, I got my
tertiary education from a business school, and at present, I am working as an Internal Auditor in a textile
corporation, but I have been stuck with the same designation for more than 2 years. Therefore, in order to climb
further up the corporate ladder, I would like to update my skills and knowledge, and the most plausible way to do
that would be getting a foreign degree from a reputed college in the UK. Having spent a copious amount of hours on
researching the right institutions, I have narrowed down my options to just three colleges.

I would like to ask your assistance in getting in touch with those colleges. Perhaps you could dispatch me their
customised brochures or prospectuses since due to the highly complex nature of these programs, information in the
public domain is hard to find about these courses.

I look forward to receiving your response.

Warm wishes,

Sameed

Dear Mary,

It's been a long since I have heard from you. Hope you are doing great. I am writing this letter to request some
information about the courses offered at different colleges in Brisbane. I am planning to intake a course and would
really appreciate your help.

After completing my postgraduation in chemistry, I have been working as a chemist in one of the best laboratories in
India - Dania Lab. My regular duties involve analysing the quality of food products as well as to check whether they
meet the NABL prescribed standards. As my employer is highly pleased with my performance, he has asked me if I
am ready to take on a new responsibility, which is related to molecular modelling. I do not have much expertise in
that field, so, I would like to join a molecular designing course in Australia, more specifically in Brisbane in a
couple of months.

I would be thankful to you if you search and inform me the details of the appropriate institution with relevant
contact numbers. Please take the burden to personally visit some reputed colleges and talk to them regarding the
course. I barely know anyone there and would really appreciate your help.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Warm wishes,

Dear Robert,

It seems like ages since we last met and time indeed flies. I am very sorry that I had not been in touch with you as
frequently as I should have in the last few months. I had been terribly busy and could scarcely manage time for
myself or for my family. I hope Samantha and Anna are doing great.

I have decided to enrol in a professional graphics designing course in Melbourne, Australia and I went through
websites of different colleges in Melbourne. You are the best person I know to advise me on this. I prefer a college
from your city because my uncle lives there with his family and being in the same city where you live in would be
an advantage for me.

For the last three years, I have been working as a tech support member for a large IT company and as you know
Math was my major in our school. I am quite confused which college I should apply to and this is why I am turning
to you for the advice. I would really appreciate your help regarding this. Also, can you find out what additional
qualifications like an English language test score and so on are required to get admitted to such a college?

I hope you would not mind doing this for me and I would proceed according to your advice.

Take care and write me back when it is convenient for you.

Best regards,

Anthony

Dear Aparna,

Hope you are doing great and enjoying your new job. I am writing this letter to inform you that I am planning to
take a course at a college in your city. I am hoping your assistance in getting further information about the course.

As you know, I have been working as a software engineer for the last four years. So, I think this is the right time to
work on one of my dreams - to acquire a management degree. I am planning to leave the job and apply for a part-
time management course in Sydney. Though I have inquired online for a few of the colleges, could you please
enlighten me with a few more details about the colleges, course duration, tuition fee regarding a management
degree?

I am hoping you would guide me in finding the best college that offers a part-time management related course. I
would be really grateful to you for the help.

Looking forward to getting your reply.

Sample Answer 5: Dear Mimi,

Hope you are doing excellent. I regret that I haven't been in touch with you for a couple of months. I am really busy
these days and I hardly have time to wind down. I am writing to let you know that I am planning to apply to the
Oxford University, which means we'll be living in the same city soon. I am expecting your assistance in getting
some information regarding the course I am planning to pursue.

As you know, ever since I have finished my Bachelor in Psychology, I have been working full time in the human
resources department. I'm currently working as an HR consultant, but I am interested in organisational development.
That's why I have decided to do the master's degree in ‘Organisational Psychology’.

I am planning to submit my application to the university soon. However, I was recently assigned to work on a three-
month project in Hongkong, so I don't know when I'll have the opportunity to contact the admission office. Do you
mind contacting them to ask about their specific entry requirements? That would be a great help if you do.

Take care and write me back sometime. Talk to you soon.

Warm regards,

Sample Answer 6: Dear Sam,

Hope you are fine. I am now in Vizag and working for a large architectural consultancy firm. In order to accelerate
my professional and personal growth, I need to complete a course pertaining to architectural design. I am hoping
you would be able to provide details on some renowned colleges that offer the courses and guide me chose one.

It is well known that Dubai undertakes excellent construction projects, and colleges there offer outstanding
architectural and designing courses too. As you are studying and residing in Dubai, I request you to kindly apprise
me of the architectural courses offered by colleges. I am relying on you to pick a course at a college.

I request you to kindly examine the content of the course, its duration, the course curriculum, the cost and finally the
placement opportunities after completion of the course. It would immensely help me in analysing and picking up the
right course from the right institution.

I would be grateful for the information and support. I will be waiting for your reply in this regard.

Warm wishes,

Model Answer 7: Dear Rachel,

Hope you are doing fine. I am sorry that I have not written to you for a long. I have been terribly busy over the last
few months and I never seem to have a minute to myself! I am writing to notify you that I'd like to study fashion
designing at a university in Canada next year and I hope you can give me some advice and information.

I think I would prefer a Canadian college, specifically in Toronto, because I have an aunt who lives there and she is
willing to host me at her house. I have recently finished my school and got an overall 78% marks. I am willing to build
my career in the fashion designing industry and I need to complete my bachelor degree for that. However, I really
don't know which university to apply to and what are their requirements for the applicants. I am hoping you can
choose a university for me that offers an excellent fashion designing related course at a moderate cost.

Could you send me some information about different colleges and the courses they offer related to my interest? I
hope you can spare some time and don't mind doing this for me.

I hope to hear from you soon.
