PROCESS OBSERVATION

TIME DURATION ACTIVITY OBSERVATIONS/REMARKS


7:30 – 8:30 60 mins We started the registration earlier since the
Registration participants came early. They signed their names in
the registration form and were given name tags.
9:00 – 9:05 5 mins We officially started the training program. Staring
Preliminaries with opening prayer led by one of the participants.
They were given the overview of the training and the
house rules.
9:05 – 9:10 5 mins Before doing all the activities, we made sure to do
Stretching stretching for the participants to lessen the chance
of strains or injuries since they have to do physical
activities later.
9:10 – 9:15 5 mins Since the participants came very early in the
Ice breaker [The boat is Sinking] morning, we did a fun activity to up their energy. The
activity is also for their groupings for the entire
morning activities and there are three groups in total
with 8-9 members each.
9:15 – 9:30 15 mins After they had their groups, they planned for their
AM snacks + Team names and team names and made a team chant for their group
Chants which they will be presenting after the time given to
them. Along with the making of team chants, we
gave them snacks to energize them more.
9:30 – 9:34 4 mins The groups presented their chants and the
Presentation of Team Chants participants had fun because all of them made their
chants in a creative and fun way.
9:34 – 10:05 34 mins The first SLA in the morning is a self- reflection
activity. Each of the participants needs to identify
their own positive qualities. After they identified
I AM their positive qualities, each of them shared their
positive qualities to everyone with conviction or
confidence. Some of the participants were amazed
by the qualities of their members.
10:05 – 10:25 15 mins The participants were overwhelmed by the activity
Debriefing I AM and they were able to learn about themselves and
also from their members.
10:25 – 10:55 30 mins The second SLA is a physical activity which was
conducted outside. Even though it was hot because
of the sun, the participants were still eager to do the
activity. Each of the group was competitive and we
Lava Flow can see that they had fun doing it. One group was
nearly not able to complete the goal but they did not
gave up even though they are the only ones left that
is yet to complete the goal of the activity they still
managed to complete the task.
10:55 – 11:05 15 mins The participants learned a lot from the activity.
Some says they learned to have teamwork and
Debriefing Lava Flow cooperation, some says they need to have a
chemistry to complete the task, and also some says
giving up is not in their vocabulary.
11:10 – 11- 21 11 mins Additional Activity (Buddy) Since the activities were done earlier than the
expected time, we added a fun activity for the
participants. The activity also serves to find each of
them a buddy or a partner to check on them after
having a lunch break.
11:21 – 12:21 60 mins Lunch Break The participants were given lunch.
12:21 – 12:26 5 mins After the break, we continued the program. We
Ice breaker [Jump in Jump out] started the program in the afternoon by an activity
which can up the participants’ energy again early in
the afternoon.
12:26 – 12:40 26 mins The first SLA in the afternoon is another physical
activity. It was conducted outside since it requires a
large space for them to transfer from point A to
Hole in the Tarp point B. The participants were grouped as one in the
activity. They were given three attempts to complete
the goal of the activity but they ended up completing
the task with four attempts.
12:40 – 12:52 12 mins During the debriefing period, a ball of yarn technique
was used. Participants have different experiences
Debriefing Hole in the Tarp and learnings in the activity. Listening,
communication, teamwork, cooperation, and unity
were some of the learnings the participants have
mentioned.
12:52 – 1:45 53 mins The last activity was conducted outside. Even though
it was very hot outside, the participants were still
Moon Ball having fun doing the activity. They were given only 3
attempts to complete the task but since they find it
hard to achieve the goal, they ended up doing a lot
of attempts to complete the task.
1:45 – 2:00 15 mins Participants were able to learn important things
Debriefing Moon Ball doing the activity. They mentioned adjusting to
change which is the actual thrust of the activity.
2:00 – 2:10 10 mins Participants were given snacks and a water break to
PM snacks fill their energy since the previous activity is
exhausting.
2:10 – 2:20 10 mins Since the activities were done earlier than expected,
we added another activity which relates to the
Additional Activity [Evolution] thrust of our last activity. Even though they were all
sweaty from the last activity, their energies were still
up and still did the activity.
2:20 – 2:50 30 mins The closing activity was a heartwarming one since
the participants have a chance to give the positive
qualities they have to their co members which they
think possess those positive qualities and we can see
You Are + Group Reflection the smiles on their faces when they opened their
eyes and read the positive qualities they received
from their co members. We also did a group hug and
this was also the opportunity for the participants to
personally give their thanks and apologies to some
of their members.
2:50 – 3:06 16 mins Giving of Certificates The training program ended up with the giving of
certificates and giving of tokens (bookmarks).
3:06 – 3:17 11 mins Before letting the participants go, we gave them
Evaluation survey questionnaires to evaluate the training they
did for the day.
