How to book a hotel room

Example of a phone conversation between a hotel receptionist and a customer:

Receptionist: — Good morning. La Plaza Hotel. May I help you?

Mrs Brown: — Yes. I´d like to book a room, please.

Receptionist: — Certainly. When for, madam?

Mrs Brown: — April the 22nd.Have you got any rooms available for that weekend?

Receptionist: — How long will you be staying with us?

Mrs Brown: — Only two nights.

Receptionist: — What kind of room would you like, madam?

Mrs Brown: — Double with bath please. And I´d appreciate it if you could give me a room
with a view over the sea.

Certainly, madam. I´ll just check our vacancies. . . Yes, we have a room on
Receptionist: —
the 2nd floor with a really splendid view.

Mrs Brown: — Fine. How much is the charge per night?

Receptionist: — Would you like breakfast?

Mrs Brown: — No, thanks.

Receptionist: — It´s eighty four euro per night excluding VAT.

Mrs Brown: — That´s fine.

Receptionist: — Who´s the booking for, please, madam?

Mrs Brown: — Mr and Mrs Brown, that´s B-R-O-W-N.

Okay, let me make sure I got that: Mr and Mrs Brown, double with bath for
Receptionist: —
April the 22nd and 23rd. Is that correct?

Mrs Brown: — Yes it is. Thank you.
