Same Sign
In adding integers with 1. 27 + 41 = 68
the same sign, add their
absolute values. Then, affix to 2. – 39 + (- 56) = - 95

Addition of Integers with /- 65/ = 65 /87/ = 87 (greater absolute value)
Different Signs 87 – 65 = 22
In adding integers with
the different sign, subtract 4. 79 + (- 90)
their absolute values. Then, /79/ = 79 /- 90/ = 90 (greater absolute
affix to the difference, the value)

In subtracting an
integer from another integer, 1. 39 – 25 = 14
add the opposite of the

(greater absolute value)
51 – 22 = 33
