SERVICE INFORMATION
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
z Use care when removing and installing the oil pump not to allow dust and foreign matters to
enter the engine and oil line.
z Do not attempt to disassemble the oil pump. The oil pump must be replaced as a set when it
reaches its service limit.
z After the oil pump is installed, check each part for oil leaks.

INSPECTION
Remove the outer rotor (1), inner rotor (2)
and pin (3). (1)
Inspect the outer rotor (1) and inner rotor (2)
for any scratches or other damage.
If any damages are found, replace them with
new ones.

The oil pump case securing screw (4) is (4)
applied with THREAD LOCK.
If an attempt is made to overhaul the
oil pump assembly, the screw may be
damaged. only the oil pump unit is
available as a replacement.

INSTALLATION
Before mounting the oil pump, apply engine oil
to the sliding surface of the oil pump case,
outer rotor, inner rotor, and crankcase.
