I. OBJECTIVES

A. Content Standards

At the end of lesson, the learners are expected to:

● State and interprets parenthesis, multiplication,

division, addition, subtraction (PMDAS) or
grouping, multiplication, division, addition,
subtraction (GMDAS) rule.

● Perform a series of more than two operations on

whole numbers applying Parenthesis,
Multiplication, Division, Addition, subtraction
(PMDAS) or Grouping, Multiplication, Division,
Addition, Subtraction (GMDAS) correctly.

● Appreciate the importance of GMDAS in our daily

life.

B. Performance Standards ● The learners demonstrate understanding of

divisibility, order of operations, factors and
multiples, and the four fundamental operations
involving fractions.

C. Most Essential Learning ● The learners will be able to apply divisibility, order
Competencies(MELC) of operations, factors and multiples, and the four
fundamental operations involving fractions in
mathematical problems and real-life situations.

D. Enabling Competencies

Performs a series of more than two operations on whole

numbers applying Parenthesis, Multiplication, Division,
Addition, Subtraction (PMDAS) or Grouping, Multiplication,
Division, Addition, Subtraction (GMDAS) correctly.

IV. PROCEDURES

A. Introduction ● The learners will do the walkthrough of the

lesson expectations.

● In this part, the content of the lesson will be

presented.

● The learning objectives will also be introduced

to make the learners aware of what is being
expected in this lesson.

● As a springboard to the present lesson, let the

learners recall their knowledge in PMDAS rule by
observing the two mathematical expressions on
page 14,week 3 part I.

B. Development ● Let the learners determine the rules in PMDAS or

GMDAS on page 14 on part D.

• The learners will perform the indicated operation

on Learning Task 1 page 15.
C. Engagement • Ask the learners to do the application of concepts
and skills by answering Learning Task 2 on page 15.

D. Assimilation • Let the learner formulate the concepts learned based on

the learning tasks and illustrative examples provided.

• Let the learners perform the indicated operations to solve

the following by following PMDAS or GMDAS rules on
Learning Task 3 page 15.

V. REFLECTION The learners in their notebook will write their personal

insights about the lesson using the prompts below.
