ACTIVITY DESIGN
I. PROGRAM TITLE: School Sports Festival

THEME: “ENGAGE LEARNERS AND UNBRIDLE TALENTS THROUGH SPORTS”

IV. BACKGROUND AND RATIONALE

Learning does not only take place on the four corners of the room. Thus, as part of the
learners’ development in psycho-social aspect the school has more activities to offer particularly in
sports. The Doña Adela Central Elementary School will conduct its yearly School Sports Festival.
Sports is considered as a way of life that will lead to a healthy life and resilient community.
Moreover, this activity will Boost learners intrapersonal, interpersonal, body kinesthetic, and even
mathematical intelligence. Exposing the learners through sports will promote teamwork, patience,
perseverance, self-confidence, camaraderie, and spirit sportsmanship and selecting qualified
athletes for DISTRICT MEET 2022.

V. DESCRIPTION OF THE PROGRAM

The activity is scheduled for three days showcasing learners’ talents in different sports. The school
staff is divided into three teams white, yellow, and black. Learners who excel from different sports
events will be representing the school for the District Meet.

VI. GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

The main objective of this event is to conduct a three-day school sports festival to pupils, teachers,
and parents.

Specifically, it aims to:

1.) develop the psycho-motor abilities of the pupils, this way they will be able to channel their
energy and time the right way.
2.) instill and inculcate discipline among the students.
3.) teach them the value of teamwork.
4.) know the value and importance of sportsmanship.
5.) identify pupils’ ability in dealing with other people in the field of sports.
6.) boost pupils’ self-esteem and teamwork in dealing with in the group.

VII. STRATEGIES AND SUBPROJECTS

An activity design will be submitted to the school head / head teacher for his approval of the said
activity. The School PEES Coordinator will coordinate with the teachers and pupils on the flow of
the activities.

There are various activities to be played by Kindergarten – Grade VI pupils such as: mga Laro ng
Lahi Basketball, Volleyball, Table Tennis, Sepak Takraw, badminton, and Track and Field.

VIII. TARGET BY TRAINING PROGRAM

Target athletes of these activities are Grade 4-6 pupils, teaching ang non-teaching personnel.

IX. MONITORING AND EVALUATION

The monitoring and evaluation of this activity will be monitored by the school head of this institution.
The School Sports Coordinator will submit a narrative report to the office of the School Head for the success
and proper implementation of this activity.
