WHAT CAN YOU SAY ABOUT YOUR SUBJECT TEACHER IN ADVANCE COLLEGE
GRAMMAR?
If you are going to ask me if I had enjoyed your subject Miss Kate, my
answer will be, absolutely yes. With all the due process without condemning
anyone’s point of view, you are my favorite and the best teacher in my first year
here in ATI. Aside that you look young and blooming, your approach towards
us when you discuss a new lesson, I feel so alive and cheerful because the way
you pronounce and your gestures makes me overwhelmed all the time. You
look classy always and that was pretty cool and yeah, I admit it, I like you a lot.
You are a blessing to me, to us rather. Overall, 100% you’re the best!
“In learning you will teach, and in teaching you will learn” Phil Collins
As we tackle and discuss our lessons, I fell in love along the process.
There were so many essential and useful things that I have had discovered
most especially in Prelim Period, such as the proper usage of nouns, pronouns,
verbs, adjectives, adverbs, and prepositions. I learned that nouns are words
that refer to specific things or people, for example phones, umbrellas, or Dr.
James. Pronouns on the other hand, stand in for the previous noun, the same
word can refer to several different things. They include words like those, them,
and he. On the second topic, I learned that verb is a word or a phrase that
describe an action, condition, or experience, examples are run, look, feel, and
etc. Adjective is a word that describes a noun, examples are big, boring, pink,
quick, obvious and etc. On the last topic, it talks about adverb and
prepositions whereas adverb is a word that describe or modifies verb,
adjectives, clauses, and other adverbs, on the other hand, a preposition is a
word that shows the relationships between a word in the sentence and the
word that is the object of the prepositions.
During the Midterm Period, I had encountered a lot of difficulties as it
tackles about the topics that it’s hard to catch up, but the way you introduce it
to us Miss, I’m so overwhelmed because you explained it the way we love it,
since then I acquired a lot of learnings such as conjunction is a word that is
used to connect words, phrases, and clauses, example of this include and, or,
but, because, for, if, and when, while interjection are words that you can use
to express a strong sense of emotion or feeling. As we move forward to our next
topic which is phrases, I learned that phrase is not a complete sentence as it
does not relay a complete thought. Our last topic in Midterm was all about
clauses which is a groups of words that have a subject and a predicate.
In Semi-Final Period, I like this topic more as it gave me ideas on how
to use words accordingly, like subject-verb-agreement topic which explained
the grammatical rule that the verb or verbs in a sentence must match the
number, person, and gender of the subject. Next topic, it tackles about
sentence structures which is the grammatical rules that we must always
remember, such as capitalization, end a sentence with period, question mark,
exclamation point, or quotation marks. The last topic was all about checking
mechanics rules that should be followed when writing sentences and they are
an important way to effectively communicate ideas.
Last but not the least, the Final Period, every detail that you explained
to us Miss, I find it very useful in the future as we move up to another
endeavor of our studies. In our first topic which entitled “The Paragraph”, I
have learned that paragraph is a group of related sentences that support one
main idea. In general, paragraphs consist of three parts; the topic sentence,
body sentences, and the concluding or the bridge sentence to the next
paragraph or section. On the second topic for the Final Period coverage is
paragraph development through outline which means that we should write
down the main points that we will wish to discuss in the paragraph first, then
underneath the main point, we must add some piece of supporting evidences
from journal, novel, poem, and etc. The last topic and the most interesting and
necessary topic throughout the first semester in ACG was the identifying
common writing errors because grammatical errors, you will convey the
message that you are not as educated or careful as you should be.
Throughout the First Semester, your subject Advance College
Grammar was the most enjoyable subject I’ve ever had among of all subjects,
because aside that you are beautiful, you are fluent in speaking English as
well, and what I’ve liked the most was your approach towards us, you seems
blooming all the time. I hope you still be my subject teacher for the next
semester. ILY mad GBU.
