Inpartnership with Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and ABS-CBN Lingkod Kapamilya Foundation Inc.-Programa Genio through the Curriculum Implementation Division and Division Information and Communication Technology Unit, the DOST will conduct orientation and installation of the STARBOOKS package as digital library on March 13-17, 2023, 2. The venue of the orientation will be held in four batches in three different venues. The following is the schedule of each batch. Participants to this activity are the school Information and Communication Technology Coordinator, school library in-charge and /or the teaching or non-teaching staff who will manage the STARBOOKS in school. Schools may send maximum of three participants in this activity. 5. The Division Information and Communication Technology Unit, Learning Resource Management and Development System (LRMDS) and/or representative Education Program Supervisor from the Curriculum Implementation Division shall assist the DOST during their travel, orientation, and installation of the package. 6. _ Teachers present during declared holidays shall be given service credit equivalent to number of hours they spent during the holiday per DepEd Order No. 53, s. 2003 titled “Updated Guidelines on the Grant of Service Credits to Teachers". On the other hand, non- teaching personnel (school heads and division personnel) shall be provided with Compensatory Time-off (CTO) per Civil Service Commission (CSC) and the Department and Management (DBM) Joint Circular No. 2, s. 2004 on Non-Monetary Remuneration for Overtime Service Rendered. 7. Travel expenses, board and lodging and incidental expenses of the participants shall be charged against school MOOE while that of the schools division office personnel shall be charged against Division local funds subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations. 8.
