III. POST-WRITING
Task 1: Checklist for self / peer assessment.
Below is a checklist for the outline of a descriptive paragraph. Use these questions to check
your own writing, or get a peer (another student) to help you.

• Brainstorm area:
1. That is a cat, a baby cat.
2. It is very petite. It is as long as my forearm, I can take full hold of its body
with one hand. Its fur is smooth and grey with black stripes, so beautiful. The
most special thing was that its tail was amputated.
3. My cat is changing teeth, so it always bites everything. She often sleeps in
the morning and plays at night. Every day, it will wake up, eat seeds and pate
then it goes to the toilet.
4. My pet is a smart cat. When it was just picked up, it always sounding when
want to go the toilet. And now it already knows how to do this by itself. But
sometime, it is very naughty. Especially when I do my homework, the cat will
climb on the table and bite my pen. That’s why I go to bed late.

Task 3: Complete an outline for the topic above.

Topic Sentence:

The cat was brought back by me when I was eating outside. I said: “if you stand quietly, I will adopt

you.”. amazing, the cat sits very well. I'm very excited about it. And now, it’s my pet - Cop.

Supporting Sentence 1: It is very petite. It is as long as my forearm, I can take full hold of its body

with one hand.

Detail 1: : Its fur is smooth and grey with black stripes, so beautiful. Maybe the cat is the same
species as tiger, so it has some stripes.

Supporting Sentence 2: The most special thing was that its tail was amputated. I don’t know what
happened to it, surely that’s a bad problem.

Detail 2: : My cat is changing teeth, so it always bites everything. She often sleeps in the morning
and plays at night. Every day, it will wake up, eat seeds and pate then it goes to the toilet. _

Supporting Sentence 3: My pet is a smart cat. When it was just picked up, it always sounding when
want to go the toilet. And now it already knows how to do this by itself.

Detail 3: But sometime, it is very naughty. Especially when I do my homework, the cat will climb
on the table and bite my pen. That’s why I go to bed late.

Concluding Sentence: animals are also like people; they also need love. So, I always spend the
special love.
