A Study on waste management in Angamaly Municipality

SUMMARY OF FINDIGS, SUGGESTIONS, AND CONCLUSION

The purpose of this chapter was to discuss result to this project work. The work drew
conclusion and give suggestions in the this chapter. This work is oriented to wards identify
the “ Waste management system in our locality “.

The research result is expected to provide guidance and suggestion to improve the collection
of waste from our locality

The major findings on the basis of analysis the study as follows

5.1 SUMMARY OF FINDINGS

 Majority of respondents are satisfy the topic waste management.


 Majority of the respondents are newly know about the idea waste. management.
 The proposed method has been used to meet the functional requirements of sustainability in
the organization.
 Waste management has been analysed as the most significant benchmarks to achieve
sustainability in the organization.
 Reducing or eliminating adverse impacts on the environment through reducing, reusing and
recycling and minimizing resource extraction can result in improved air and water quality and
help in the reduction of greenhouse gas emission.
 Majority peoples are spend money to dispose the house hold waste.
 Among the total number of respondents (64 %) are sometimes fale problem related to the
waste disposal (24 %) aree never face the problem.
 Majority peoples are like to continue (82 %) of waste control in own society.
 Majority respondents are highly satisfied (36 %) the overall satisfaction of waste
management.
 Majority of the respondents agreed that they continue the waste disposal.
 Most of the locality to find the group for collect the waste from houses and other placed
for disposal without any pollution.
 Now a days majority respondents p0reference the disposal of waste in the clean way.
 Among the different modes of disposal, Recycling, Composting, Segregation, Burning
biodegradable wastes.
 Make proper waste management disposal committee to reduce the waste.
 Few waste treatment options are available to manage waste and so they are more
expensive than landfill losts.
 Both waste collection and the recycling industry make meaningfull contributions to job
creation and GDP and they can expand further.
 Growing pressure on outdated waste management infrastructure with declining levels of
capital investement and maintenance.
 50 % of the respondents does not had any bad experience while using waste disposal
method. 50 % respondents has faced certain problems.

 Proper waste management depends on the people on how they dispose their waste.
 The community will have clean environment if they will do proper waste management.

5.2 SUGGESTIONS

1. Use a reusable bottle / cup for beverages on the go.


2. Use reusable grocery bags, and not just for groceries.
3. Purchase wisely and recycle.
4. Avoid single – use food and drink containers and utensils.
5. Buy secondhand items and donate used goods.
6. Shop local farmers markets and buy in bulk to reduce packaging.
7. Curb your use of paper : mail receipts, magazines.

5.3 CONCLUSION

The work entitled A STUDY ON WASTE MANAGEMENT WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE


TO ANGAMALY MUNICIPALITY was undertaken with the objective to study customers
preference towards the disposal of waste and understand that the customers of the waste
management system are satisfied with the services offered by the waste collective group.

The study give an insight in the efforts taken by the waste management system to
improve the satisfaction level of the customers. It was found that waste management system
create a custome friendly by providing quick and convenient access to various services.

From this study it was very clean that waste management system provide the service
to the customers within a short span of time which is the most attracting factor which leads
the customers to prefer the waste disposal system. Most of the respondents are satisfied
with the user interface the service.

Many of the features are allows the customer to dispose the waste. And any way can
dispose the house hold waste. They the customers and it helps them to understand and
manage their customers for better disposal system.

It can be concluded that the satisfaction of the customers are varying in nature but
overall performance regarding the waste management system.
