IV. RATIONALE

The search for meaningful career that results to a life that is dignified and meaningful
starts with the right track that fits the personality and strengths of an individual. It is evident
that despite the successful market economy reforms and economic growth of recent years,
job mismatch has been identified as one of the sources of structural unemployment in several
of the recent manpower summit and human resources conferences participated by various
stakeholders from industry government, non- government organizations and the academe as
revealed by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).

To guide and help more students on their career path, the Nagotgot High School will
intensify career guidance programs that will make the students be better prepared to make
informed and responsible choices and thus be able to make the best of the opportunities ahead.
Towards this end, more opportunities under the new senior secondary curriculum implemented
have been opened for young people to flourish their knowledge and be an asset of the community
as they enter the workforce.
It is with this notion that this learning institution proposes this activity to help the
students especially the grades 11 and 12 students to decide on the career path they want to
pursue.
