To design a helicopter transmission shafts V1 , V2 un V3 of the strength and stiffness


conditions in two versions: ring (1) and round cross-section (2). Compare alternatives
using transmission theoretical weight criterion.

11. Comparison of theoretical mass of transmissions with round and ring cross-
section

So, the ring cross-section transmission of 2.13 times lighter than the transmission
with round cross-section of shafts.
