Scope of Work:
USG Boral has to propose Ceilings based upon the
Documents received from client. This includes the following.

1. Specifications
2. Sectional View

Supplying and Fixing of USG Boral Suspended ceiling system components.

Fix USG Boral ST-50 fully knurled Perimeter channel (0.50mm thick having one flange of 20mm and
another flange of 30mm and a web of 28mm) screw fixed to brick wall/partition with the help of approved
screws at 600mm centers. Then suspending USG Boral ST-50 fully knurled intermediate channel (45mm x
0.90mm thick with two flanges of 15mm each) from the soffit at 1220mm centers with USG Boral fully
knurled Ceiling Angle (25x10mmx0.50mm thick) fixed to RCC Slab with USGBORAL Soffit Cleat of size 25
mm wide x 1.6 mm thick with flanges of 25 mm and 35mm, and Approved Fasteners @ 1200mm Centers
respectively. USG Boral ST-50 fully knurled Ceiling Section (0.50mm thick having web of 51mm and two
flanges of 26mm each) are then fixed to the USG Boral ST-50 fully knurled Intermediate channel (0.90mm
thick having web of 45mm and two flange of 15mm each) with the help of 2.5mm thick wire connecting
clip and in perpendicular direction to the intermediate channel at 457mm centers.

12.5mm thick USG Boral Standard plasterboards is screw fixed This includes Providing and fixing false
ceiling at all height including providing and fixing of USG Boral with 25mm long Drywall screws at 230 mm
centers. The screw fixing of gypsum boards to the metal framing at the periphery, openings and cut edges
should be at 150mm centers. All the Standard plasterboards must be staggered. Finally, plasterboards and
screw heads are to be jointed and finished so as to have a flush look which includes filling tapered edge
and square edges of board with USG Boral APJC Compound, USG Boral Paper Tape (As per recommended
practice of USG Boral Building Products India Private Limited).

ceiling at all height including providing and fixing of USG Boral with 25mm long Drywall screws at 230 mm

should be at 150mm centers. All the Moist Bloc plasterboards must be staggered. Finally, plasterboards
and screw heads are to be jointed and finished so as to have a flush look which includes filling tapered

recommended practice of USG Boral Building Products India Private Limited).
Disclaimer

• USG BORAL has recommended above type of Plasterboards ceiling system based upon
the inputs received from clients. These may or may not be tested systems in a
laboratory.
• Proposed Plasterboards Drywalls are non-load bearing walls. However additional
detailing will required as per planned / unplanned loadings which needs to be consulted &
discussed with Engineer in charge
• System performance values for above mentioned systems are estimated values only.
• The Technical proposal and details are subjected to approval by the Client (Projects
Design) and or Management authority before it is declared good for construction.
