Determine the design response spectra for an ordinary RCC building located at a site with
following amplification factor and maximum ground acceleration (PGA) of 1g using
Newmark and Hall (1982) expression:
 A = 2.50, V = 1.90, D = 1.50

Also determine the response spectra for an ordinary RCC building as per IS 1893 (Part
1):2016 for medium soil. The expression for design response spectra is given as:
1 + 15T T  0.10 s
2.5 0.1s  T  0.55s

Sa / g = 
1.36 / T 0.55s  T  4.0 s
0.34 T  4.0 s

Plot both spectra on linear-linear graph. Show time period range between 0.05s to 5s.
Comment on your observations.
