CE 448: Prestressed Concrete Design

Project: Critique a Research Paper on Prestressed Concrete

Search in the literature and identify a research paper on prestressed concrete structures,
which you find interesting to critique. The paper should deal with some experimental
findings on prestressed concrete OR some theoretical aspects of prestressed concrete.
The critique report of the paper should include the following:

1. A brief summary of the paper highlighting the major findings.

2. Major drawbacks of the work reported in the paper.

3. Ways to overcome the drawbacks and improve the overall quality of the paper.

4. Give reasons for selecting the paper for this project.

Use one of the following three journals to do your research on the paper.
 ACI Structural Journal
 ACI Materials Journal
 ASCE Journal of Structural Engineering

The selection of the paper you wish to critique should be completed no later than
February 17, 2023. Email the following details about the paper to laskar@civil.iitb.ac.in
before February 17, 2023.
 Title of the Paper
 Names of authors
 Journal (including Vol, Issue No., and Page Numbers) where the paper has been
published.

The final critique report should be submitted on April 13, 2023.
