CHAPTER I . PRELIMINARY

1.1 RATIONALIZATION OF THE IMPORTANCE OF CBR

Critical book review is important (CBR), which is able to describe and take from a book,
namely explaining the contents of the book in total and evaluating whether the book has
succeeded in achieving its goals. In addition, there are also those who say that a critical book
review (CBR) is an understanding. , reference references, comparisons and references to
scientific references from that opinion which will result in personal opinions about the book

analyze a book and compare the analyzed book with other books, recognize and provide value
and criticize a written work that is analyzed. Often we are confused about choosing a
reference book for us to read and understand, sometimes we only choose one book to read
but the results are still not satisfactory in terms of language analysis and discussion,
therefore the author makes this CBR business English for the convenience of readers in

management of a multinational company is simpler if it only requires
a set of company goals, objectives, policies, practices, products and
services. But local differences often make this impossible. The conflict
between globalization and localization has led to the discovery of the
word 'glocalization'. Companies that want to be successful in overseas
markets must be aware of the local cultural characteristics that
influence the way they do business.

CHAPTER III CLOSING

3.1 conclusions and recommendations

Conclussions

Cultural diversity is defined as cultural wealth that is seen as a way that exists in the culture
of a group or society to express its expression. Culture is considered to be the underlying
values that direct how people behave. Cultural diversity in the workplace is a result of
practices, values, traditions, or beliefs of employees based on race, age, ethnicity, religion,
or gender. Economic globalization is one of the driving forces of cultural diversity in the
workplace. The modern workforce is made up of people of different genders, ages, ethnicity,
religions, and nationalities. in order for employers to reap the benefits of cultural diversity
in the workplace, they must communicate their commitment to addressing the challenges of
a diverse workforce. Employers must be seen to be celebrating their employees’ diversity to
avoid workplace issues, like awkwardness and hostility. in these two books cultural diversity
is discussed with different proportions but the same purpose, on the main topic it is more on
the test material, in the comparison book it is more on the application of activities.

Recommendations

From the description reviewed above, this book is very clear and helps a lot to understand
what is learned in business English, especially in material cultural diversity, therefore this
book is very suitable to be used as teaching material.

3.2 Suggestions

My suggestion is that both books should be more equipped with material, they should be
discussed in their entirety so that the reader understands them better
