GOALS IN CONSTRUCTION

The following goals written below are set in the construction to maintain the safety
and standards on the project.

 GOAL 1: COMPLETION WITHIN A SPECIFIED TIME FRAME

A good scheduling in construction is relevant to the completion of the
project to eliminate the problems and facilitates the workflow efficiently. Time
for completion is an important concept in contracts. When a deadline is
attached under the contract, failure to complete that obligation can cause
damages on the company resulting to trust issues on the other clients.
Furthermore, in terms of budget, there is a chance to increase because the
expenses for the labor will grow as the time will take longer.
 GOAL 2: SET SAFETY STANDARDS BETWEEN THE WORKERS AND THE
PROJECT ITSELF
Since the site is prone to hazardous situations and can be dangerous at
times, taking a precautionary measure is a crucial factor in every construction.
Not only does safety on construction sites to protect the workers, but it also
keeps the public safe because the sites are usually located in busy areas
there the public is coming in and out. Through following some safety
protection such as properly wearing the protective gears including the safety
shoes and hardhats can reduce the risk of work-related injuries and accidents.
 GOAL 3: THE CONSTRUCTION PROCESS IMPLEMENTED ARE MOSTLY
BASED ON THE PLAN
The goal of every project is to target at least 95% of the plan. Following
the said plan helps to be budget and time friendly. It assures the safety of the
owners that the place they are living after being turned over by the contractors
are safe and sound during natural disasters. As the time passed by, the
maintenance requires less budget as it is built on standards.
SKYLIGHT

According to the Department of

Energy, skylight can provide your home with
daylighting and ventilation because skylights
are located on the roofs. It is a light-permitting
structure or window that is usually made of
transparent or translucent glass, the forms all
or part of roof space of a building for
daylighting and ventilation purposes.
Skylight helps the owners to be
efficient in energy consumptions. With the
abundance of daylight, it reduces the overall
reliance on artificial lighting. Aside from this, it also releases the warm air that
naturally rises in the building, which helps to make the space more hospitable.
Moreover, it promotes good health and relaxing feeling as it produce Vitamin D which
promotes being vital for good bone and muscle health and metabolism. The cold air
coming inside the building helps the dweller to feel better and circulates their thinking
properly.

However, skylights gain some concerns related to the benefits available. when
improperly installed, it causes thermal liability and drive up the energy cause
resulting to poor insulation. It also contributes to the issues concerning to leaks and
moistures. During wet season, it has a tendency to enter the water from the rain into
the building causing leakage.
