NOTE: As per EASA IR 21, a minor change is one that has no appreciable effect on the
mass, balance, structural strength, reliability, operational characteristics affecting
the airworthiness of the product. All other changes are major changes.
B. REASON
(1) History
The new FWC standard H2-F13 has been introduced to bring several improvements in
the frame on A320 family New Engine Option (NEO) aircraft.
The FWC standard H2-F13 is compatible with all Current Engine Option (CEO) aircraft,
A319, A320 and A321 NEO aircraft.
(2) Objective/Action
This Service Bulletin is published to advise all operators of A319/A320/A321 NEO
aircraft of the issue of Ref. AIRBUS FRANCE (F6198) VSB 350E0-31-038 which replaces
two FWCs H2-F12E (FIN 1WW1 and FIN 1WW2) Part Number (PN) 350E053022424
previously installed by MOD No. 165706P21423 (Service Bulletin No. A320-31-1575
(INDICATING/RECORDING SYSTEMS - FLIGHT WARNING COMPUTER (FWC) – INSTALL
FWC H2-F12E FOR NEO AIRCRAFT)) by two FWCs H2-F13 PN 350E053022323.
This modification can be performed by replacement of the FWC or by replacement or
reprogramming of the On Board Replaceable Modules (OBRMs).
(3) Advantages
Accomplishment of this Service Bulletin allows the following main improvements:
- Implementation of evolutions to support AEVS flight mode function and

associated modification of VENT SKIN VALVE FAULT and VENT BLOWER FAULT
alert logic
- Inhibition of unwanted ATA21 alerts during SMOKE tests
- Creation of AUTO FLT FAC (FMGC) VERSIONS DISAGREE level 1 alert
- Provisions for the TakeOff (T.O) monitoring function including creation of T.O
ACCELERATION DEGRADED warning
- Improvement of ELEC GEN x OFF alert triggering at the beginning of flight phase

- Creation of BANK BANK audio alert in the frame of enhance flight control
protection availability and safety beyond standard project (refer to ISI
22.00.00104 for further information).

- Implementation of FWS AUDIO REDUND LOST ON FWC 1(2) and FWS AUDIO
DEGRADED alerts to cover loss of synthesizer in FWC
- Provisions for monitoring of Braking and Steering Control System (BSCS) NG,
that replaces Braking and Steering Control Unit (BSCU) and Emergency Brake
Control Unit (EBCU)
- Creation of three new level 2 alerts BRAKES A/SKID FAULT, BRAKES A/SKID
OFF and WHEEL N/W STRG OFFSET (provision).
- Implementation of AUTOBRAKE OFF synthesis
- Creation of TAXIBOT and TAXIBOT ARM memos for taxibot function
- Provisions for monitoring of Runway Overrun Prevention System (ROPS) step 3

The Operational/Maintenance Consequences of this Service Bulletin are covered by
the update of the affected publications detailed in "PLANNING INFORMATION".
This Service Bulletin has an impact on flight operations documentation; consult
AirbusWorld and refer to Ref. MOI 166490 described in Technical Follow-up (TFU) Ref.
TFU 31.50.00078.
This Service Bulletin cancels Operations Engineering Bulletin No. 58. Operators having
programmed an OEB reminder should delete the reminder from their system.

FLIGHT WARNING COMPUTER (FWC) - INSTALL FWC H2-F12E (NEO)) is a concurrent
requirement if MOD No. 165706P21423 has not been embodied before delivery.
C. REASON
(1) History
The new FWC standard H2-F13 has been introduced to bring several improvements in
the frame on A320 family New Engine Option (NEO) aircraft.
The FWC standard H2-F13 is compatible with all Current Engine Option (CEO) aircraft,
A319, A320 and A321 NEO aircraft.
(2) Objective/Action
This Service Bulletin is published to advise all operators of A319/A320/A321 NEO
aircraft of the issue of Ref. AIRBUS FRANCE (F6198) VSB 350E0-31-038 which replaces
two FWCs H2-F12E (FIN 1WW1 and FIN 1WW2) Part Number (PN) 350E053022424
previously installed by MOD No. 165706P21423 (Service Bulletin No. A320-31-1575
(INDICATING/RECORDING SYSTEMS - FLIGHT WARNING COMPUTER (FWC) – INSTALL
FWC H2-F12E FOR NEO AIRCRAFT)) by two FWCs H2-F13 PN 350E053022323.
This modification can be performed by replacement of the FWC or by replacement or
reprogramming of the On Board Replaceable Modules (OBRMs).
(3) Advantages
Accomplishment of this Service Bulletin allows the following main improvements:
- Implementation of evolutions to support AEVS flight mode function and

associated modification of VENT SKIN VALVE FAULT and VENT BLOWER FAULT
alert logic
- Inhibition of unwanted ATA21 alerts during SMOKE tests

- Provisions for monitoring of Autonomous Distress Tracking (ADT) function
including creation of new amber caution COM ELT EMITTING, new advisories COM
ADT FAULT and COM ELT FAULT and new status information Emergency Locator
Transmitter (ELT)
- Improvement of monitoring for Recording and Aircraft Locating System (RALS)
function + including creation of Cockpit Voice and Data Recorder (CVDR)
and CVDR2 status maintenance for corresponding class 2 failures, and alerts

- Implementation of FWS AUDIO REDUND LOST ON FWC 1(2) and FWS AUDIO

Accomplishment of this Service Bulletin cancels the requirements of Ref. OEB 58
through Ref. TFU 75.24.00001.
(4) Operational/Maintenance Consequences
The Operational/Maintenance Consequences of this Service Bulletin are covered by
the update of the affected publications detailed in "PLANNING INFORMATION".
This Service Bulletin has an impact on flight operations documentation; consult
AirbusWorld and refer to Ref. MOI 166490 described in Technical Follow-up (TFU) Ref.
TFU 31.50.00078.
This Service Bulletin cancels Operations Engineering Bulletin No. 58. Operators having
programmed an OEB reminder should delete the reminder from their system.
D. DESCRIPTION
NOTE: To accomplish this Service Bulletin, you have three options.
To accomplish this Service Bulletin it is necessary to:

(1) Modification
of FWCs on Aircraft
1 Replace the FWCs (FIN 1WW1 and FIN 1WW2)
1 Replace the OBRMs
1 Remove the OBRMs
2 Reprogram the OBRMs in accordance with VSB on Bench
3 Install the modified OBRMs

G. MANPOWER

OPTION 1 - Upgrade by Replacement of FWCs on Aircraft
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT YOU OBEY ALL THE WARNINGS AND ALL THE CAUTIONS
INCLUDED IN THE REFERENCED PROCEDURES.
CAUTION: ALWAYS OBEY THE PRECAUTIONS THAT FOLLOW TO KEEP ELECTRICAL

WIRING IN A SATISFACTORY CONDITION (ELECTRICALLY AND MECHANICALLY
SERVICEABLE). WHEN YOU DO A MAINTENANCE WORK, REPAIRS OR
MODIFICATIONS, ALWAYS KEEP ELECTRICAL WIRING, COMPONENTS AND
THE WORK AREA AS CLEAN AS POSSIBLE. TO DO THIS:
- PUT PROTECTION, SUCH AS PLASTIC SHEETING, CLOTHS, ETC., AS
NECESSARY ON WIRING AND COMPONENTS.
- REGULARLY REMOVE ALL SHAVINGS, UNWANTED MATERIAL AND
OTHER CONTAMINATION.
THESE PRECAUTIONS WILL DECREASE THE RISK OF CONTAMINATION AND
DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL WIRING INSTALLATION.

(2) GENERAL information
The SB Reporting policy is published in ISI 00.00.00135. This document provides
information regarding: the SB Reporting means and benefits, the update of
customized Maintenance Products and customized Flight Operations Products.
If this Service Bulletin has an operational impact, refer to paragraph "Flight Operations
Products" for further information on the update of affected Flight Operations Products.
(3) SB Reporting procedure
Standard practice to report SB is to use the online reporting application on
AirbusWorld.
