SSG Adviser launches ‘Project BLOOM’

In Accordance with the DECS Memorandum No. 77, s. 1995 titled “The School Inside a
Garden (SIGA) program of the DepEd, SSG officers conducted ‘Flower BLOOM” in Solsona
National High School, last May 16, 2022.

By the end of the school year, the students, faculty, staff, PTA members and other
stakeholders will create a school environment that is eco-friendly, profitable, sustainable and in
support of the national goal for a “clean and green” society.

SSG led the said project spearheaded by their adviser, Sir Maverick Anthony in
collaboration effort of the Parents-Teachers Association, Alumni Association.

The said program initially focused on growing flowers, medicinal herbs and plants as
well as fruit trees including exotic species such as mahogany ang gmelina. It also aimed to
provide every learner with every opportunity to care for plants, flowers, and trees. Morever, to
inculcate a sense of environmental responsibility among students and employees through
propagating plants and managing biodegradable waste.
