Second part.

This research is an important research since a lot of changes need to be done in the

society today. There are many people rendered homeless due to lack of proper running of the

societal obligations. For instance, the society may be considered to have failed when a person is

rendered homeless due to injustice, or selfishness of some other people. This research is

therefore determined to point out the major sources of error in foster care, and other forms of

out-of-home placements.

When children are in foster care, they are supposed to get provided with casework, proper

treatment, and communal services. This is all aimed to make a difference between a society with

foster care and a society without them. Also, it is among the rights of the children to be given

permanent homes to cater for their needs whenever necessary (Virginia Department of Social

Services Child and Family Services, 2016). On the contrary, people who pass through foster care

have a different story to tell. Some were satisfied with their new families whereas some think the

new families were not good enough. To be more specific, this research also shows the ways that

the society fails to play its role in making a more successful generation. Sometimes, children

from foster homes are rendered homeless due to lack of permanent homes.

There are two programs that are given to the children in foster homes namely, fostering

futures, and independent living. These programs are meant to have these foster children to get

the ability to survive outside foster homes on their own. For this reason, these programs are most

effective when children in foster homes are at the verge of aging out of these foster homes.

However, there are many youths that did not get far enough after coming out of foster homes and

completing the programs successfully. Therefore, this research has deemed to discuss on more
effective ways of preparing youths from foster homes, so they cannot contribute to the number of

homeless people (VDSS, 2016).

Foster children, just like other children, require a lot of protection and support in their

day-to-day life. The foster system, on the contrary, happens to have many flaws, that impact the

children directly. Most of the children they hold do not have parents and family support, making

them think on their own. Such a situation especially during teenage can cause a lot of harm to an

individual. Temptations for teenage foster children to divert towards the wrong paths are all over.

Sometimes, these children are likely to make poor decisions in their early adulthood, which is

not their fault completely. Therefore, this essay also touches on the ways that the foster systems

can try to achieve better outcomes from the children they save from homelessness (Jones, 2019,

p. 262).

Being a homeless youth is a dangerous position people find themselves in. Sometimes,

these homeless youths find themselves in street fights, criminal records, etc., even without valid

reasons. This paper also focuses attention on the implications of being homeless today. These

implications can be used to air the voice of the homeless, who feel that most of their rights are

being violated, whereas the powerful people in the country are silent.

Finally, the paper is aimed at achieving more desirable outcomes out of the foster homes

and other forms of placements. However, with the facts well drawn from this essay, it is easy to

determine that there are several key players in youthful homelessness. Therefore, this paper

intends to dig deeper to determine who among the key players is failing the most towards

eradication of homelessness, and the likelihood of the homelessness being inherent. Poverty

being one of the major issues, it has become a distractor in most of the sectors that try to improve

the economy of most of the countries. In the same way, poverty has been an obstacle in the
ability for the foster homes to provide the best life for all children. This is because the rate of

homelessness is increasing leaving foster homes carrying the most children they can, hence

reducing on the quality of life they tend to offer.
