SAYAWIT COMPETITION
GUIDELINES & MECHANICS

COMPETITION RULES & GUIDELINES:

I. Entry
-The participants must be a bonafide resident of Quezon, Quezon.
-Participant must submit the following requirements:
a. Duly Accomplished Entry Form (issued by SKMF Office)
b. Xerox Copy of Cedula
c. Xerox Copy of Vaccination Card/ Vax E-Certificate

-First come, first serve. Only the first 7 groups who will submit the complete
requirements will be qualify for the competition.
-Deadline for the submission of requirements will be on September 21, 2022 at
SKMF Office.

II. General Guidelines

- A minimum of 10 and a maximum of 15 members per group shall perform during the
competition.
- The performance shall consist of a song and dance presentation in accordance to
International Youth Day Theme, “Intergenerational Solidarity: Creating a World for All
Ages.”
- The participants must actually sing and dance at the same time.
- Any song in Englsih or Filipino may be used, or a combination thereof.
- Medley, mash-up, remix song, palit-awit or an original composition is allowed.
- The presentation should last for a maximum of 6 minutes and a minimum of 4 minutes, in
which period shall be included the entrance & exit of the performers.
- Any musical accompaniment for the presentation is allowed.
- Props should be at minimum only.
-Only one group shall represent a school, barangay or an organization.

III. Judging
1. Performance & Judging of Sayawit Competition will be on September 26, 2022 | 1 in the
afternoon at Quezon Municipal Covered Court.
2. Judging shall be based on the following criteria:
-Relevance to the Theme 20%
-Voice Quality 25%
-Precision of Dance Moves 25%
-Concept/ Originality 15%
-Costume & Props 10%
-Projection & Overall Impact 5%
 Total 100%

3. Decisions of the Contest Jury are final and irrevocable. The verdict cannot be
appealed.
4. The top 3 groups will be announced after the judging of YLAF 2022 (in no particular order) and they
will perform again on the Gabi ng Kabataang Quezonians.

IV. Prizes
1st Placer - 5, 000.00 + Trophy & Certificate
2nd Placer - 3, 000.00 + Certificate
3rd Placer - 2, 000.00 + Certificate
4 Consolation - 1, 000.00 + Certificate

Announcement and awarding of winners will be on September 26, 2022 at the Gabi ng Kabataang
Quezonians & Awards Night (7:00 pm) and we encourage everyone to wear a proper/ casual attire
upon attending.
