Mechanics and Guidelines

1. The LGU Night Balik Indak 2022 competition shall be participated in by Local Government
Units (LGUs) of the Province of Oriental Mindoro clustered as follows:
Cluster 1: Puerto Galera, San Teodoro, Baco
Cluster 2: Calapan City, Naujan, Victoria
Cluster 3: Socorro, Pola, Pinamalayan
Cluster 4: Gloria, Bansud, Bongabong
Cluster 5: Roxas, Mansalay, Bulalacao

2. Each Cluster shall be composed of a minimum of 15 and a maximum of 25 bona fide

personnel of the LGUs. The Clusters shall determine the division of number of performers
from the member-LGU provided that all LGUs have representation in the performance. All
LGU personnel, regardless of employment status (elected, permanent, casual,
contractual, or job order), are allowed to participate in the competition. Props men/women,
if there are any, are not part of the personnel count provided that they wear a different
attire from that of the performers.

3. The participating LGU Clusters shall submit the filled-out entry form with the official list of
performers duly certified by their respective City/Municipal Human Resource Management
Officer and the Local Chief Executive. The deadline of submission of entries and official
list of performers shall be on 26 October 2022 (Wednesday). Soft or hard copy of the entry
form and list are accepted.

4. Each presentation shall be limited to 5-7 minutes only and must only use music released
from the year 2000 and below. The music could be altered and remixed provided that it is
partnered with modern dance grooves. Copy of the music to be used in the actual
performance shall be submitted to the organizers on or before 09 November 2022. The
submitted music will be used during the performance night.

5. There will be five (5) members of the panel of judges.

6. Point system of scoring shall be used in the competition with the following criteria for
judging:

• Creativity – 35%
• Choreography – 35%
• Costume and Props – 20%
• Audience Impact – 10%
7. 10 points shall be deducted from the total score of the contestant for each of the following
violation:

a. Use of music released from year 2001 and above in any portion of the performance
b. Excess in the allowed number of performers
c. Excess in the allowed performance time
d. Non-representation of 1 member-LGU in the cluster

8. The following are the prizes for the competition:

• 1st Place – PhP 100,000.00

• 2nd Place – PhP 75,000.00
• 3rd Place – PhP 50,000.00

9. The following are the special awards for the competition:

• Best in Costume and Props – Php 10,000.00

• Best Performer (Male) – Php 5,000.00
• Best Performer (Female) – Php 5,000.00

10. There will be no consolation prizes for non-winners. However, a participation assistance
of PhP 10,000.00 will be provided through the City/Municipal Tourism Officer of the
participating LGU.

11. The decision of the Board of Judges is final and irrevocable.

12. Draw lots for the sequence of performance will be held on 11 November 2022, 5:00 PM
at the activity venue.
