RULES FOR ALL CONTESTS

1. Contest dates:
a. Preliminaries: November 11, 2023, at Iligan City Central School;
b. Finals: November 18 - 19, 2023, at Robinsons Place Iligan
2. Coordination Meeting on October 14, 2023, venue will be followed.
3. Theme: “Faith Within, Strengthens the Will: Empowers Individuality.”
4. The contestants must be a delegate from the school represented, in good standing,
and duly registered.
5. This contest is open to all elementary, junior high school, and senior high school
students from various schools in Iligan City.
6. Each school must provide one valid email address and contact number.
7. Interested schools are expected to PRE-REGISTER by sending in the list of
contestants and coaches with contact number(s) to yapisiligan@gmail.com on
or before the scheduled coordination meeting on October 14, 2023.
8. The contestants must register with the 16YLF Secretariat prior to the competition by
submitting the final and official list of contestants.
9. A participant can join in one (1) contest only.
10. All contestants shall properly be identified through numbers given by the contest
committee. Drawing of lots shall be done ten (10) minutes before the contest.
11. All contestants should be at the venue fifteen (10) minutes before the contest. During

the second call, if the contestant is not yet around, there will be a deduction of two (2)
points on their final score.
12. If there are any inevitable instances that may lead to the absence of the contestant/s,
substitutes are allowed to replace them, provided that they are identified upon
registration.
13. Substitutes must not be a participant in any other contest.
14. Announcement of winners will be done immediately after the contest proper.
15. Deduction of points shall be made by the Chairman of the Board of Tabulators, duly
concurred by its members, and in consultation with the Chairman of the Board of
Judges.
16. Silence shall strictly be observed once the competition starts.
17. All participants and coaches shall receive a certificate.
18. REGISTRATION FEE IS NON-REFUNDABLE
a. Individual contests: P100.00 for each student
b. Group contests: P300.00 for each group

a. YLF Gold Award
b. YLF Silver Award
c. YLF Bronze Award
20. YAPIS reserves the right to modify, alter, or amend the above-mentioned rules or
waive compliance at his/her sole discretion if such steps are in accordance with the
purpose of the contest scheme.
21. The decision of the 16YLF Board of Judges once signed by the Board of Tabulators
is final and irrevocable.
