ELIGIBILITY –A) The tournament is open for only Indian Citizens from Pune District (Resident of Pune
District). Person of Indian origin but got citizenship of other countries are not eligible
B) AICF Player registration for this year 2023-24 is mandatory for the participants.

For U17 Category - Entries will be closed on 4th April, 2023 at 5:00 pm and
For U11 & U19 Category - Entries will be closed on 17th April, 2023 at 5:00 pm
Entries received after due period will not be accepted.
Refund: Entries received after due period from participants or already registered
participants but want to cancel entry before first round, then they will be refunded after
deduction of Rs 100 as administrative charges.
Instructions to the players
Boys & Girls will play in separate group in their respective category
• Latest FIDE rules will apply.
• Tournament type is rapid format and will be played in Swiss Format.
• In case of any disputes during the tournament Chief Arbiters decision will be final and binding on all.
• No electronic devices including wrist watches are allowed by the players or spectators during the round in
the playing venue. If such device found on body, during game then loss will be given to the player.
• Parents and coaches are not allowed in the playing area during the game.
• Online Participation Certificate will be provided to all players.
• Entries will be uploaded on chess-results.com every day between 9 to 9:30 pm.
• For Checking Names: You can verify your entry done till 9:00 pm immediately after 9:30 pm and those
entries received after 9:00 pm will be displayed on next day.
• First round pairing will be displayed on 5th April 2023 @ 09:30 pm for U17 Category and on 18th April 2023
@ 09:30 pm for U11 & U19 Category
• Attending prize distribution function is mandatory and binding on all participants. Departure 2nd day of
event after 07:00 pm

SELECTIONS
FIRST FOUR players FROM U19 Boys and U19 Girls category will be selected to Participate in Maharashtra
state U19 Boys and U19 Girls selection chess tournament 2023 respectively. In addition to above selection in
Boys category Pune District won Gold medal in last year so 3 more entries will represent PDCC in U19 Boys.
FIRST TWO players FROM U11 Boys, U11 Girls, U17 Boys & U17 Girls category will be selected to Participate
in Maharashtra state U11 Boys, U11 Girls, U17 Boys & U17 Girls selection chess tournament respectively.
5 additional entries (Gold & Silver Medal won by Pune District player in 2022-23) in U11 Boys, 4 additional
entries (Gold & Bronze Medal won by Pune District player in 2022-23) in U11 Girls, 5 additional entries
(Gold & Silver Medal won by Pune District player in 2022-23) in U17 Boys & 3 additional entries (Gold Medal
won by Pune District player in 2022-23) in U17 Girls will represent PDCC in Maharashtra State Chess

FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO DISTRICT SELECTED PLAYERS, FOR STATE SELECTION CHESS TOURNAMENT
FIRST Four District selected players in U19 Boys & Girls and FIRST Two District selected players in U11 & U17
Boys & Girls, will be provided Rs. 2000/- each, to participate In the Maharashtra State Selection chess
tournament respectively, after the said tournament is over.
