ABOUT COLLEGE

Thakur College of Science and Commerce was established in 1992 by the


founding members with the notion of providing an avenue of learning
within easy reach to the growing young population of its vicinity. It was a
natural augmentation by the Thakur Educational Trust.
The College started with basic courses in Science and Commerce in 1992,
has grown to offer 2 Undergraduate Courses in Arts Stream, 10
Undergraduate Courses in Science Stream and 11 Undergraduate
Courses in Commerce Stream, and 10 Postgraduate courses in total with
a fully functional Junior College and Ph.D. Research Centers. More than
14,000 students, 225 teaching staff, and 150 administrative staff define
its magnanimous strength. The College boasts of a strong and dedicated
teaching staff, state of the art of infrastructure which includes an
Auditorium, Media Lab, Advanced and well- equipped Research Centre
and state-of-the-art Innovation & Incubation centre, etc. with all the
required amenities like a Gymkhana, well-furnished Library etc. for the
holistic growth of the learners. The exposure is also ensured through
multiple industry partnerships and Foreign Universities collaborations
facilitated by the institution. The Student-Run Associations. Fests and
Fiestas, as well as its NCC, NSS, and Cultural Wings, have significantly
added to the achievements of the institutions.
The College has accomplished spectacular growth over the last two
decades of its journey toward "Excellence in Education". The College has
the honor of "Best College Award in 2018-2019" and it has featured in
the top ranking of various surveys conducted across the country
consistently been felicitated as "Pride of Maharashtra" in 2022 at the
hands of the Governor Shri Bhagat Singh Koshyari. The University of
Mumbai bestowed The academic performance in Degree and Junior
College surpasses the State and University averages. The Institution is
ISO-certified and follows a strict code of managerial efficiency. The
NAAC Grade "A" in the 3rd Cycle and conferring with Autonomous Status
from 2019-2020 reaffirms the commitment towards exceptional
educational standards and quality. The college intends to continue its
dedicated and consistent efforts in the process of nation-building by
shaping the new-age socially relevant and technically sound
professionals from all walks of life.
AB0UT BANKING & INSURANCE

The Banking & Insurance Department was started in the


ACADEMIC YEAR 2003- 2004 by the college.

To accentuate basic understanding about the Banking,


Insurance and other related Financial services to the students
for additional avenues of employment & self employment.

To highlight the dynamic potentials in Banking & Finance


industry and train the learners to explore every opportunity
for career advancement.

ABOUT BE A BANKER

It's a National Level Event.

We invite colleges across India.

It's basically a competition purely based on Banking, creating


awareness about Banking Sector.

30 colleges all over India; Nashik, Ratnagiri and Ahmedabad


participated in this event in the previous years.

Last year, we had a footfall of around 1000 participants


within Mumbai.

THEME : CONTINGENT NAME ALLOTED

Each Contingent has to uniquely represent their


contingent code most creatively.

The parade has to be followed by a skit


performance of 3 minutes representing their
contingent codes.

Contingent can make use of posters, banners,
slogans, or chants to give the best display of their
contingent code.

2000 PR Points will be awarded to the contingent


that participates in the parade.
LEVEL 3
100 PR Points will be awarded for each poster,
banner, and slogan that a contingent displays on
the given day.

A bonus of 2000 PR Points will be awarded to the


contingent with the most unique and creative AUDITORIUM
display of their contingent code.

TURF CRICKET

Registration fee per team is Rs. 300/-

The team will consist of 8 players.

In a team 5 boys and 3 girls compulsory.


[Girl should ball atleast 1 over]

Each inning will be of 4 overs.

Bowling Distribution will be as 1-1-1-1.

Underarm Bowling is compulsory. (No sidearm


and pace bowling will be entertained).

In case of a tie, super over will be played.

All the cricket rules will be applicable.

Umpire decision will be the last decision.

TURF FOOTBALL

Registration fee per team is Rs. 300/-

Each match will be 15 minutes long, with


7 minutes for each half and 1 minute break.

There should be 7 players in a team.


(6 playing and 1 for substitution).

Substitution will be allowed only during half-time.

A kick-off will be conducted at the start of


the match and the second.

In case of a goal, play will resume with a goal kick.

A direct goal from the goalkeeper is not allowed.

Pulling jerseys or hair will lead to a warning.


If repeated, the player will be removed from the game.

Match consists of 1 game of 11 points.

The first player to reach 11 points wins the match.

Accuracy screening of all the winners will be
conducted.

misbehavior will be treated as a serious offense.

The verdict of the judges & and organizers will be final and
will not be subjected to any further changes.

Costumes & and dresses of participants should not be above


knee length.

Consumption of intoxicants during the event is strictly


prohibited.

Anything that is perceived as being offensive to any


national, religious, linguistic sentiments, or gender will lead
to direct disqualification.

Students should follow all the mentioned rules and


regulations, failing which will lead to direct disqualification.

Receipt of the participant.

Registration for all the events will begin from January 1st,
2024.

Timing: 10:30 am to 2:00 pm.

The CLs are required to register their participants for the


events in the specified time. Registrations will be done in
offline mode only.

No online registrations will be accepted.

Online registration is only applicable for the colleges


participating from outside Maharashtra.

All the personal details shared by the participant shall be


true to the best of their knowledge and belief. If proved to
be otherwise, the respective participant shall be subjected
to disqualification.
