Theme: “Pag-rumdom sa ginikanan”

Sangguniang Bayan Office

INTRODUCTION

The Binibining Orgulyo 2022 Pageant is a competition that mainly focuses on the natural beauty of
the Goaenos although it incorporates other attributes such as talent, intelligence, personality, love
of their represented barangay and answers to the judges’ questions as judged criteria. Gowns,
Barangay Costume, Talent, modeling and personal interviews will factor in the judges’ scoresheet.
Awards for the winning contestants will include crowns, titles and cash prizes.

In addition to striving for the highest standards the organizing committee will conduct the
competition in a fair and balanced manner.

OBJECTIVES

The purpose of the beauty pageant is to:

 Promote confidence in the young women of Goa.
 Provide opportunities for personal development
 Promote the culture of their represented barangays

WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE?

Young women Goaenas between the age of 18 but not more than 22 years old on the date of the
proclamation night.

QUALIFICATION

All issues related to the eligibility if the entrants will be determined solely by the organizing
committee. Each entrant must present a TABANG BANWAAN ID where, she was a
recipient/beneficiary either named to her mother/guardian.

REQUIREMENTS/ DOCUMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED:

1. Photocopy of the Tabang Banwaan ID

2. PHOTOSHOOT, SWIMSUIT AND CASUAL WEAR: The organizing committee will provide.
3. BARANGAY COSTUME and EVENING GOWNS: The candidate will provide.
4. Completed Registration Form from the Committee
AREAS OF COMPETITION
The Binibining Orgulyo 2022 is a beauty competition open to all women of the Municipality of Goa,
aged between 18 to 22 years old.

The areas of competition will be as follows:

1. INTRODUCTION ROUND AND PHOTOSHOOT- 20%

2. BARANGAY COSTUME – 20%
3. TALENT COMPETITION- 20%
4. SWIMSUIT COMPETITION- 20%
5. LONG GOWN COMPETITION- 20%
6. FINAL QUESTION AND ANSWER

SCREENING
This part of the program is not judged. The committee will provide more details on the day of the
competition.

INTRODUCTION ROUND AND PHOTOSHOOT (20%)

The judges may ask the contestants personal questions to verify information filled out by the
participants on the application form. This is the simplest round. Right after the preliminary
interviews, photoshoot will come next. Other details will be provided a day before the Introduction
Round.

BARANGAY COSTUME (20%)

This competition will be used in their Production/Introduction Number during the pageant night.
Costume can be anything the delegate feels that represents their own barangay. Judges will be
looking for high energy, spirit, and the delegates’ sense of contemporary style for todays woman.
Props may be used. Judging Criteria: modeling, personality, beauty, and the creativeness of the
costume.

TALENT COMPETITION (20%)

The candidates will be given atleast 2 minutes to perform on stage. Their performances must be
inclined to the foundation theme “Pagrumdom sa Ginikinan”. Judging Criteria: Gracefulness,
Choreography, Beauty, relevance to the theme.

SWIMSUIT COMPETITION (20%)

The judges here will be more interested on how well the costume suits the contestant and the
contestants’ on stage performance. Personality, Beauty of the face, body and legs, over all impact.

LONG GOWN COMPETITION (20%)

Judges will not be evaluating the cost or designer label of the gown, but rather how well it suits the
contestant (e.g fit, color, style) as well as the contestants on-stage presentation. Evening gown suit
must be in good length. Judging Criteria: Beauty of the face and body, Confidence, On-Stage
performance.

FINAL QUESTION AND ANSWER PORTION (100%)

Back to Zero. Top 5 will be chosen, and will respond to a few questions by the judges. The question
can be from current events, history of Goa and others. Judging Criteria: Articulation, Quality of
Response, Beauty and Personality.
JUDGING COMPETITION
A minimum of 5 judges will evaluate the candidates.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

1. Entrant affirms that she is and will continue to be a person pf good moral and character.
2. That she has not committed and will not commit any act inconsistent with the highest
standards of public morals amd conventions or that will reflect unfavorably on the pageant,
its representatives, and sponsors.
3. Candidates will conduct herself in a courteous, professional manner at all times during the
Binibining Orgulyo Beauty Pageant.
4. Good sportsmanship is expected at all times. Disruptive behavior before, during or after the
pageant may result in disqualification, removal from the premises and legal charges.

WINNERS CONTRACT

1. If selected as Binibining Orgulyo winner, candidate agrees to sign a contract stating

agreement to arrange and make an act of volunteerism for the environment and the
community.
2. The titleholder agrees that if she’s going to compete to other Provincial, District or National
Pageants, she have to represent the Municipality of Goa.
