Temperature trends have witnessed an upward trajectory with
annual mean temperature increasing on the country scale with a range between 2°C and 3°C in the 21st century. On the other hand, summer and winter circulation continue to experience inter- decadal scale weakening since the 1970s, caused by the alteration of natural climate structure which has led to enhanced mean and extreme precipitation along the Yangtze River (30°N). The annual precipitation change is estimated to be between 2081-2100. This data was generated using the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 5 (CMIP5) model. Proposals aimed at mitigating climate change include the reduction of emissions into the atmosphere. This involves implementation of policies aimed at generating standards for green house emissions. An adaptation strategy includes the autonomous farming practices. To ensure that the level of CO2 emission is lowered, there need to be a strategy to increase forest cover which will then lower the temperatures.
