ENGLISH COURSE DESCRIPTION AND SYLLABUS

I. English Course Description


Semester/Year : VI/2022-2023
Course : Advance English in Nursing Anesthesiology
Credit : 4 (100 minutes/per meeting)
Study Program : Applied Undergraduate of Anesthesiology Nursing
Course Description : This course is designed to improve the students’ English skills to
enrich vocabulary including anesthesia terms. It helps the students to
use vocabulary to communicate with medical workers during
anesthesia practice in the hospital. Besides, it supports the students’
ability to communicate and collaborate with the patients and medical
workers. In this course, the students will also learn about anesthesia
nursing care plan.
Learning Outcomes :
At the end of this course, the students will be able to:
1. Mention and describe basic vocabulary related to hospital and the field of anesthesia
2. Use appropriate expressions to handle patients’ condition
3. Describe operating room feature and mention anesthetic equipment
4. Demonstrate assessment using appropriate expressions
5. Communicate orally and in writing during anesthesia practice
6. Develop an appropriate anesthesia care plan based on patient data and overall medical,
surgical, and nursing treatment plan
