Bloodletting, teachers accepted the challenge

To promote camaraderie and heroism the Mlang National Highschool teachers have participated in the
bloodletting activity during the Brigada Eskwela last May 30, 2018.

The main goal was to spread awareness of the benefits of the said activity and help people who were in
need. The teachers and schools administratorsin collaboration with the nurses of the local Rural Health
Unit.

“ It was a really graet help for me.” A statement from Mrs. Joan Cariño, ateacher from MNHS , adviser of
grade 7 Flores. Due to eptopic pregnancy, she needed to under go blood transfusion. As help to her
fellow workmate and friend, Ms. Donna Marie Laurequez, lend her a blood card and save her life.

The collected blood that day was more or less a hundred bags. Mlang RHU nurses was task to facilitate
ang handle the collected blood bags wihich will be stored in the blood bank.
