Key Concepts/ Quilting is the term given to the process of joining a minimum of two layers of fabric

4.1. Introductory A. Prayer

video.
4.2. Activity The class will be shown pictures of quilted and non-quilted fabric.

Let the students answer the following question through opening a window:
1. Can you spot any differences among the fabrics? If so, how are they different?
4.3. Analysis 2. What type of fabric are these?
(_5__mins.) 3. How do you think it was created?
4. When you look at the product, how does it make you feel?
5. Can you rearrange the letter Y-A-U-C-A-C-R-C? What’s the word?
6. What is the importance of the word in quilting?
The teacher will discuss about Quilting through the Power Point and Video Presentation.
4.4. Abstraction After the discussion the students will answer the following questions:

3. What do you think are the skills needed in quilting?
4. What makes quilting unique?
5. What is the importance of quilting?
4.5. Application The students will get their materials and follow the instructions given.
(__8__mins.) They are to make a basic quilting on the cloth they provided.

5. Assessment Pen and Paper Test


(__12_mins.) A test paper for formative test will be given to the students for them to answer.

6. Assignment Make your own pattern, then quilt them on the fabric.
