Welcome to the Technology and Livelihood Education Alternative Delivery Mode
(ADM) Module 1 on Carpentry Exploratory!
The hand is one of the most symbolized part of the human body. It is often used
to depict skill, action and purpose. Through this we may learn skills, create and
accomplished products. However, the skills that we are about to learn in this subject
signifies that you as a learner is capable and empowered to successfully achieve the
relevant competencies and skills at your own pace and time.
This module was designed to provide you with fun and meaningful opportunities
for guided and independent learning at your own pace and time.

What I Have Learned
Carpentry is a skilled trade and a craft in which the primary work performed is the
cutting, shaping and installation of building materials during the construction of
buildings, ships, timber bridges, concrete formwork and Carpentry is a trade that gives
people the ability to make things with their hands. There are many different forms of
carpentry which means you have plenty of options for a career and, as things stand,
there is plenty of demand for skilled carpenters.
