Good Morning A & A!

Before I start, allow me to thank once again my beautiful cousin, Ate Alj, who invited me here to become a
financial advisor and always pushes or motivates me to achieve my goals. Also, our king here in A&A, Doc
Dave, thank you so much po, for mentoring us to be good and effective financial advisors. And of course, my
husband, who is always there for me.

Sir Samuel, Mam Twinkle, Mam Crystal, Mam Cynthia, from Tagum Fas, Anj, Mam Jarlyn, and to all FAs here
who have the same mission as me: to help people achieve their financial goals and have a shield in case of
uncertain events that could happen to their lives. Thank you so much, po sa inyo. 

This time, I just want to share with you my reason for becoming a financial advisor here at Pru Life UK. There
are two reasons, and I can call them FA.

Dili sya Financial Advisor huh. Rather, ‘F’ stands for FAILED and ‘A’ stands for ACHIEVE.

"Failed" because we experienced so much failure when it came to managing our own finances.

Alam niyo naman sa mga teachers murag taga LONDON…Loan dito, loan doon..

Another thing is, mahilig pud mi mag ‘Invest2x”, paluwagan, boboay, I don’t know kung uso bani sa
inyo …but…diha mi nascam…hahhahaha…

So, ayun…parang slave na kami sa bank..parang pabalik-balik na na cycle…which is not good….

In addition to that, in 2021, my 32-year-old cousin died because of the COVID-19 virus. Deped
teacher sya and naa syay duha ka anak…

A 1 yr. old girl and a 4 year old boy. That time na conclude naku, na di ibig-sabihin na public servant
ka secure na imong family…na luoy jud d i ang atong family if ever na naay mahitabo sa ato .

So ayun, after gishare ni ate Alj about Pru Life Uk ni exam dayon ko. Kay Diri naku nakita ang
solution sa akong FAILURE. I realized that kaya mi na Scam or pataka lang og loan or pataka lang og
invest it’s because kulang yung knowledge namin sa pag manage ng finances.

And I want to help and educate Filipino families on how to manage their finances. Sabi nga ni sir
Samuel Talaboc, “We help Filipino families put food on the table when the provider dies.”

Next is ACHIEVE. As I’ve said earlier na diri naku nakita ang solution sa akong failure, diri pud naku
nakita ang WAY para ma ACHIEVE akong dreams.
But there are so many obstacles in achieving those dreams.

I need to read more to learn new skills. Naga pang observe sa mga achiever na FA’s kung unsa ilang
mga techniques..hehhe

And I really need to practice my communication skills. Even though I am a teacher, medyo dili jud
kaau ko ganahan mag cge og storya hehhe

Before, I wasn't interested in the lives of other people. Kay kapoy kaau mag Marites medyo samok
ang life.. Heheh kaya pirminte ra ko maulahi sa balita sa school kay cge rako tan-aw og anime, k-
drama, basa2x og novel kung free time…heheh oh di ba daghan kaau ko gisayang na time…?
Except lang sa akong mga students noh couz We really need to know their background so that we
can cater to their learning needs. But now, I need to be a Professional Marites Na. Marites na may
pusong tumulong heheh Marites Na may Mission.

But later on, akala ko yan ang yong mga challenges…di pala…our biggest enemy here is ourselves.

Minsan nag seself-doubt. But after I read this quote from Robin Sharma, "Our biggest enemy is our
own self-doubt, We really can achieve extraordinary things in our lives. But we sabotage our
greatness because of our fear.".

..So ayun parang na flaflash-back ang mission ko why I became a financial advisor. So I told myself,
if magive-up ko Unsaon nalang tong naclient naku basig naa sila mga queries walay mag assist sa
ila..bisan 17 pa lang sila pero nakacommit na man gud ta na muassist sa ila…

Unsaon nalang pud ang mga tao na wala pa kabalo on how to manage their finances.

So, I need to get back on track…dapat dili pa jud ko mugive-up kay sayo pa kaau hehhe daghan pa
jud ko wala nalearn..bahalag hinay-hinay lang , kaya ko to.. …sabi nga ni ate Alj katong nagsurvey mi
sa palengke, na lahi ra jud ang learnings kung first hand experienced sya….

Kaya to my fellow Rookies, kung nakaya nila sir Samuel Talaboc and Doc Dave na maging MDRT,
sila mam Jessica, mam Twinkle, and ate Alj na maging national achiever …

I think kaya din natin…with God’s help..

According to Robert Kiyosaki, “Failure is part of the process of success. People who avoid failure also
avoid success.”
So, Failure is not the end, it’s just the beginning of a new path to achieve what you truly want.
