1. Recall:
Awareness
a. Students will enumerate the advantages and disadvantages of volcanic eruption.

1. Teacher will present the topic about the effects of volcanic eruption to society.
2. Students are then group into 5 to perform the given situation.

Performance Task
You are a volcanologist from Bicol. On your way back to your
hometown, you saw the destruction brought about by the eruption of
Mayon Volcano. You decided to invite your colleagues to come with
you on your next visit with a mission, that is, to create awareness
among your town mates about volcanic hazards – before, during,
and after a volcanic eruption. Decide on how you will accomplish your
mission.
3. Each group will then perform based on the following criteria:
a. Details and information

c. Techniques/creativity
d. Accuracy
4. A rubric will be posted on the board for the guidance of the group.
5. Students will then gather to discuss their presentation.

Day 2
1. Teacher will ask the students to stay within their group.
2. After which, the teacher will discuss what will happen for the two days of meeting prior to
the presentation of the performance task.
3. Students will practice the assigned situation and must refer to the rubrics given.
4. Rubrics will be posted on the board as their guide in performing their assigned task.

Answer: Sulfur dioxide and ash fall are carried by wind during volcanic eruption. As
