Activity 6
*The means of communication that reach large numbers of people in a short time,such as
television,newspapers,magazines and radio.
*Mass media refers to media technologies used to disseminate information to a wide audience.
The key function of mass media is to communicate various messages through television,
movies, advertising, radio, the internet, magazines and newspapers.

Assessment
1.A needs assessment is a systematic process for determining and addressing needs, or “gaps”
between current conditions and desired conditions or “wants”. Gathering appropriate and
Sufficient data informs the process of developing an effective product that will address the
groups needs and wants.

2.One purpose of a needs assessment is to help societies identify, plan for, and be responsive
to the needs of its citizens in the areas of broadcasting, telecommunications, print media, postal
services, data processing etc.

3.Face to face, you can read people's body language, in the digital world, surveys, and
feedback are the best form of measurement ,check your recipients understanding by including a
quick survey to solicit their feedback and check their reactions and comprehension.

4.The output of monitoring consists of observation and description of how the communication
project/program is being conducted.Evaluation, on the other hand,means determining the value,
significance, or worth of something through careful appraisal and study.

Activity 2
*10 years from now I want to see myself as a successful architect giving my service at the top
architectural firm on our country or playing on stage having an electric guitar or sitting in front of
a drum set, I want to be an architect and musician on other side and I can apply the importance
of applied social science by interacting with people around me, making good communication
and building strong connection with them.

Activity 3
*COMMUNITY IMMERSION- community immersion allows individuals who are not familiar with
the people and communities where they will work immerse themselves in these settings.This
gives them the opportunity to reflect on their assumptions,attitudes, and the knowledge base on
their profession and to gain cultural competence.In the education field,It is an approach that has
involved with changing composition and diversity of school and the continuing preponderance of
white and female teachers.
Activity 5
1.Management,community,organization,social planning,policy analysis,epidemiology,community
medicine,and strategic planning are some of the many related applied social sciences to arise
from this base.
2.Informed by the core values of respect for the inherent dignity and worth of persons,pursuit of
social justice,integrity of professional practice,confidentiality in professional practice and
competence in professional practice.
3.Issues that matter to individuals,groups,and communities have to be raised to political
platforms and find public solutions and policies where possible.In organizing advocacy for
issues of great concern, one can benefit from core values of applied social sciences.
