You will have 20 minutes to complete the test.

You must complete your test in black pen only. No pencils


or differently coloured pens may be used.

The test is made up of 4 different sections:


1. Listening
2. Vocabulary
3. Reading
4. Grammar
Grade 6 test information
You will receive two documents in the test:

• The script with the reading text and questions.


• The answer sheet on which to write your
answers.

Make sure to write your name and details at the


top of both documents.

Vocabulary, reading and grammar will be multiple


choice. Select the correct answer by crossing it out on

Suffixes
Suffixes are the bits on the ends of
words that change or add to those
words’ meanings. (Prefixes do the
same job on the fronts of words.)

Some common suffixes are: -ly, -ful,


-ible, -able, -tion, -ment, -ic, -al, -ed,
-ness.

Common examples of suffixes


• Ending in –ness: madness; • Ending in –ic: chaotic;
happiness dramatic
• Ending in –ment: judgment; • Ending in –ful: fearful;
excitement wonderful
• Ending in –ible: invisible;
• Ending in –ly: strangely; quietly horrible
