PANAGTIGI KWATRO (SHS STRAND DAYS 2023): Larong Lahi

Registration. This competition is for GAS, HUMSS, ABM, and STEM Senior High School students. All participants must
be a bona fide student of PHINMA Cagayan de Oro College. The participant should have a passing grade of at least 75
across all subjects. For G12 Students, no grades below 75 or INC/FA remarks on his or her grades from G11 1st
Semester, G11 2nd Semester, and G12 1st Semester. For G11 Students, no grades below 75 or INC/FA remarks on his or
her grades from G11 1st Semester. For verification, participants should submit a photocopy of ID (AY 2022-2023), and
grades reports for the semesters mentioned above.

AG 1 Larong lahi is an event where the students will play various traditional Filipino games. The games that will be
played for this event will be as follows: Tug of War, Patintero, and Chinese Garter.

AG 2 Each Team must have 10 players who will play the games. Exceeding or deficit of the required numbers of
players entails disqualification.

AG 3 The players must be complete in the event area 10 minutes before the time.

AG 4 The players must not torment, harass, or bully other player before, during, or after the game. Any form of
reported or observed violence towards other players is subject to disqualification.

AG 5 There must be a referee to oversee the games. Their role is to observe and monitor the games.

AG 6 The teams will compete the games in a bracket system. The team who comes out on top of the system will
be declared as the winner.

AG 7 The game of Tug of War will follow the standard rules of playing the game.

AG 8 In the Tug of War game, the team who gets to pull the center of their rope towards their side of the field will
be declared as the winner.

AG 9 The game Patintero will use the standard rules of playing the game as well as the scoring system.

AG 10 In the Patintero game, the team who gets the most points from passing the lines without being tagged for
two minutes will be declared as the winner.

AG 11 Patintero Scoring System:

From Entry point

First line – 1 pt.
Second line – 2 pts.
Third line – 2 pts.
Fourth Line – 2 pts.

From Exit Point

Fouth Line – 2 pts.
Third Line – 3 pts.
Second Line – 3 pts.
First Line - 5pts.

AG 12 The game Chinese garter will follow the standard rules in playing the game.

AG 13 . In the game Chinese garter, the team who gets to bounce in the garter for 10 levels will be the winner.

AG 14 Chinese Garter Levels:

Level 1 – The garter is being held by the posts closer to the ground.
Level 2 – Knee high
Level 3 – Around the height of their hips
Level 4 – Waist high
Level 5 – Chest high
Level 6 – Shoulder high
Level 7 – Head high
Level 8 – At the tip of the head
Level 9 – A couple of inches over the head
Level 10 – Also known as the Father/Mother Jump, as high as a child raising his arms high on tip toes.
