Teacher’s Major Responsibility Key guide for Observation (Carefully look for
the indicators/behaviors of the teacher along
the key points. Write your observations and
description in your notebook. This will be one
of your artifacts).
A. Actual Teaching This teacher
1. is learner-centered

 OBSERVED
ANALYZE Refer to the results of your observation to answer the questions that follow.
1. Which of the three responsibilities shows majority of the indicators being practiced?
A. Actual Teaching?
B. Management of Learning?
C. Administrative Work?

2. Which demonstrated behavior do you find in the teacher that is worthy of emulation
when you become a teacher? Describe. Her ability to manage the class well, knowing
the fact that she is in her early 50s while the students are born in the modern era. She has
strategies on how to deal with students of diverse backgrounds and behaviors while
delivering her lessons that are clear and catchy to the learners.

3. Which of the major responsibilities does this teacher find difficult to comply with?
What are the reasons? I think it falls more on the administrative tasks such as the
keeping of attendance records every day, so she opts to assign a monitor of checking the
learners’ presence during her class subjects, and the submission of reports and other
documents on time since she is not techy, given her age.

4. From your perspective, would you consider this teacher a quality teacher? Of course,
she is! I am speechless by her character, her abilities, and skills in the teaching field. I
salute her for being someone worth emulating.

REFLECT
Now, that you have spent one school day to observe this teacher, it would be good for
you to reflect on all your observations by answering the reflective questions below.
1. Are you inspired to become a teacher after your observation? If yes, why? If not,
why not? I am deeply inspired and motivated to become a teacher in the long run after
the observation. Despite the stressful demands and the sleepless nights, it took me in
this journey, I felt the satisfying achievement it gave me which made me realize how it
feels when you really put love and enjoyment into what you are doing.

2. When you become a teacher in the future, how else would you do better as a
professional teacher? To never stop learning. As the old adage says, “once a teacher,
forever a student.” It is my pleasure to be a lifelong learner in this journey called life.
3. What are some of the concerns that you foresee in the future as a quality teacher?
Do you think you will be ready to address these? Give at least 2 concerns.
a) Digital learners – as a future teacher, it is a must to be knowledgeable and
innovative when it comes to digital learning. To be a quality teacher, I have to stay
updated with the news.
b) Modern lifestyles –modern living speaks volumes about the children’s behavior
and perspective towards the community they are in. To be a quality teacher is to
become someone who features the skills of a 21st-century-born individual in order
to belong with the group. It is a matter of being “in” not “out.”

4. In what aspects of the teacher’s day, would you like to congratulate the teacher you
observed? Can you show your appreciation to this teacher by sending a Thank You
card? Include this in your artifact. My way of expressing gratitude is simple yet
remarkable. Aside from giving her a simple token, I will be treasuring every lesson
taught by her in my heart. My personal connection with her is about to end but the
memories will never be taken away, and I will be remembering all of them in my
teaching journey, and it will be remarkable as it is the best thing I could do as an
expression of gratitude for her.
