The transformational leadership approach encourages, inspires, and motivates employees to innovate and create the necessary change to shape
the company's future success. This is accomplished by executives leading by example by demonstrating authenticity, a strong sense of corporate
culture, employee ownership, and independence in the workplace.

Gary Hetherington exhibited transformational leaders style to inspire and motivate the team. The management style that encourages employees to
be more creative, look ahead, and find new solutions to old problems. He ambitious goals, inspired people to reach their highest potential and
fostered collaboration and trust amongst his team.
Examples of leaders who exhibited transformational behavior

• Barack Obama: As President of the United States between the year (2009 -2017), Barack Obama exhibited a
transformational leadership style by encouraging collaboration between his staff and allowing them to take part in the
decision-making process. He also sought input from experts and the public on a variety of issues. (Bass &B .M. 2018)

• Steve Jobs: As the founder of Apple, Steve Jobs demonstrated a transformational leadership style by encouraging
collaboration and open communication among his team. He also sought input from experts and the public on a variety of
issues. (Ducker & J. 2020)

• Margaret Thatcher: She was the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom between the year (1979 – 1990), She was a
transformational leader who transformed the economy of the UK and brought about sweeping reforms. In a 2016
University of Leeds survey of 82 academics specializing in post-1945 British history and politics, she was voted the
second greatest British Prime minister after the second world war (Young & H. 2022)
