1) Explain the relationship of tourism and hospitality.


Tourism and hospitality are interralated concepts, where, tourism can be simply
defined as historical site natural beauty of a place and culture, hospitality is a
manner which people accept other people with wholesome respect and gratitude
furthermore hospitality.

2) Describe the components of the tourism and hospitality


network.
There are six major components of tourism, each with their own sub-components.
These are: tourist boards, travel services, accommodation services, conferences and
events, attractions and tourism services.

3)Define tourism
Tourism is the activities of people traveling to and staying in places outside
their usual environment for leisure, business or other purposes for not more
than one consecutive year.

4) Explain the meaning of hospitality.


Hospitality is the relationship between a guest and a host, wherein the host
receives the guest with goodwill, including the reception and entertainment of
guests, visitors, or strangers.

5) Differentiate tourism from recreation and migration.


Is that tourism is the act of travelling or sightseeing, particularly away from
one's home while recreation is any activity, such as play, that amuses, diverts
or stimulates or recreation can be the process of recreating something.

6) How do tourist differ from excursionists?


tourist is someone who travels for pleasure rather than for business while
excursionist is a person who goes on excursions; a traveller or tourist.

7) Describe the four elements of travel.


The world is getting smaller in terms of how people nowadays can go to
different places in a span of a day. Traveling is not a luxury anymore. It can
be done by anyone with proper planning.

8)  Explain the basic factors of a tourist destination.


Social, cultural, personal and psychological factors, the number of tourist
attractions, available amenities, price, human resources and various types of
tourism destinations are examples of the elements which can be considered in
decision-making.

9) Differentiate site from event attractions; natural from man-made


attractions.
The natural attraction it is made up or made by natural nature itself while the
man made it is made up by man they themselves made for example only the
pyramids in egypt, great wall of china and others made by man.6 Oct 2020

10) Describe tourist services.


Tourist Services means any service offered to tourists, such as, a service
connected with accommodation, bus tours, taxis, tour guiding, vending, water
sports, and food and beverage offered wholly or mainly to tourists.
