A stronger community
Every neighborhood has flaws but the people who live there can make a difference if they
join minds and forces to have a better neighborhood and leave it to future generations.

We have learned to live this way, we adapt
even if we don't like it, but it doesn't have to
be this way, there is another way. There is a
possibility to strengthen our neighborhood
and together we can help each other to
increase our quality of life.
Our current reality
My neighborhood is a place with a lot of
production and agriculture. However, I have
noticed that the streets in the blocks are very
bumpy and full of stones of all sizes. I have a
neighbor who uses a wheelchair and
whenever I see him, I see him panting from
the exhaustion of dodging the stones and not
climbing so much because of the slopes.
In addition, many children go out to play and
have tripped over the stones that are there.
All this discomfort could be avoided if the
streets were leveled with cement and if some
construction workers volunteered to do this
work.

Ways to achieve it
To achieve this we must take action and
join forces. We should:
Hold a local fair in the neighborhood
to raise funds for the cement mix.
Look for construction workers that
sign up as volunteers to level the
streets.
Partner with a charitable organization
and explain the purpose of the
project.
Benefits
We will have a better quality of life,
children will be able to play freely and
mothers will feel at ease. My neighbor
with a disability will no longer be tired
and will be able to reach his destination
faster.
It is important that we look around us and
if there is something wrong we can try to
fix it as a team because it is for the
benefit of all.
It flourished when cars appeared
The era of horses and carriages ended with
the appearance of engine-based cars. At the
end of the 1800s, cars began to replace those
precursor means of transportation bit by bit.
And by the early 1900s, thanks to Henry
Ford, cars started to flourish. This led to
another new problem for storage.
And the what-so-called garages slowly
emerged. In fact, the initial term for the
garage appeared in the English dictionary in
1902. It was originally derived from the
French term “garer,” which means shelter or
cover.
There were some reasons why the earliest
cars required shelters. First, because of the
car design, they were open or physically
designed without roofs. Second, early cars
were extremely pricey, thereby the
automobile owners didn’t want their cars to
get drenched in a rainstorm or packed with
snow, for example.
Due to those circumstances, many car
owners kept them in barns or other
existing buildings.
Since many urban areas were lack of
those types of structures, it let large,
private garages emerge. As a result, the
owners had to pay a monthly fee as a
charge.
Still, people did not consider those
private garages as a perfect car storage
solution. There was a prominent
weakness. As an instance, the car owners
found it a nuisance to get their cars in a
private garage since they had to walk or
find other transportation to get there in
the first place.
And the time for personal garages began
to come into existence due to those
limitations shown by fee-based, private
garages.
