Jake Donnelly
Trainee Foreman- Qualified Carpenter & All Rounder
Jake has vast experience across domestic, commercial, civil and mining sectors
within the building industry. After becoming a qualified carpenter and working
as one for years Jake took his skills into civil & mining, where he worked on
large scale projects around Western Australia. Here he learned all aspects of
Formwork, Concreting & Steel Fixing. This endeavour gave Jake the skills &
knowledge to explore a leadership role in Melbourne’s construction industry
upon moving back from Western Australia.
Jake joined Concretum in early 2022 as a Leading Hand Carpenter, with goals
to become a Foreman. After just a few months Jake was given his own project
to oversee, and it was done so successfully. Jake is now in a Trainee Foreman
role, which will take him towards his goal of Independent Foreman.
His favourite things about working for Concretum are the company culture,
support, variety, quality of work and the amazing team environment. He values
learning new skills each day, from his well respected and experienced peers,
and applies them into his everyday growth and future journey.
Tara Woolf
Junior Concreter/Labourer
Tara’s career in construction started just over a year ago when she made the
move from Nursing into Concreting. She has experience in both Domestic &
Commercial construction, where she worked on projects ranging from house
slabs to large deck pours.
Tara joined Concretum in mid-2022 and has become a valued member of the
team ever since. Her goal is to progress into a well-rounded concreter.
Her favourite things about working for Concretum are the team, the culture
and the skills she is learning daily. She values the knowledge passed onto her
by her peers and strives to incorporate them into her everyday tasks.

Luke Lo Casto
Trainee Leading Hand- Qualified Landscaper
Luke has extensive experience across the Domestic, Commercial & Civil sectors
of the construction industry. Upon completing his Apprenticeship in
Landscaping, where he specialised in concrete works, Luke moved into
Commercial Construction where he worked for a large civil company doing all
of their hardscapes.
Luke joined Concretum in mid-late 2022 and came on board as a Trainee
Leading Hand. He has aspirations to move into a Leading Hand role, which will
hold him in good stead for achieving other milestones he sets out to achieve.
The company culture, workmanship and clear career path is what Luke loves
about working for Concretum. He values the knowledge he is gaining, guidance
he is receiving and the satisfaction he is gets from working on high quality,
architecturally designed projects.
Ben Jeffrey
Site Foreman
Ben has been at concretum for the last 10 months moving over from working
for himself specializing in domestic work. He has been in the industry for over
15 years and has a vast knowledge of all aspects of concreting, steel fixing and
formwork. Ben started his career as a domestic concreter with the first few
years seeing him work for his dad specializing in exposed aggregate and slate
impression concrete. Soon Ben moved on to bigger construction company’s
completing suspended decks, stairs, basements, bridge building and large
complex formwork structures. His extensive experience in all these aspects has
made him a perfect fit for us at Concretum.
His attention to detail, quality, organization and ability to lead others to strive
for greatness & get the best out of themselves is a great asset for all at
Concretum.
Ben absolutely loves the culture and organisation that Concretum possesses &
because of this he sees himself being here for the long haul with the company.

Luke Phelan
Leading Hand- Concrete All Rounder
Luke’s journey within the industry has seen him work across numerous sectors
including Domestic, Commercial and Civil. His exposure to these various types
of construction has allowed Luke to work on everything from house slabs &
footpaths to large scale retaining walls & bridge upgrades.
Luke Joined Concretum in mid-late 2022 and stepped straight into a Leading
Hand role. His attention to detail, natural leadership skills and ability to work
as part of a team or even autonomously shows Luke’s skillset & character is the
perfect match for the environment and quality product that Concretum always
deliver. This role allows Luke to continue to grow, learn and advance within the
company moving forward.
Luke’s seen Concretum grow from the beginning and loves the direction the
company is heading in. He believes the culture, workmanship and quality is
what separates Concretum from the rest and makes it a joy to come to work.
Douglas Solomona
Concreter
Douglas started his concreting journey early, being exposed to the traditional
ways of concreting. Starting off doing warehouses, house slabs, driveways etc.
Doug took his skills and moved into more high end work, with his finishing
skills taking his work to another level.
Having worked at Concretum now for over 3 years, Doug has cemented himself
as a crucial part of the team. His funny, loving nature is infectious & his work
ethic is second to none.
What Doug enjoys about working at Concretum is the quality work, team
environment and being apart of something more than just a job.

David Macinnes
Concreter
Dave has been building skate parks for over 15 years & concreting for almost
20. Known as the “Skate Park Guru” Daves knowledge and experience makes
him a well respected and valued employee of the company. Having worked
also on every aspect within the concreting game throughout his career, there is
no task that Dave can’t handle. His ability to visualise the end product and get
creative with designs is something that is unmatched.
Dave joined Concretum a few years ago and has become an integral member
of the team. His skillset allows Dave to undertake tasks of various nature and
with the highest quality.
What Dave enjoys about concretum are the high end finishes on jobs, the team
culture and the appreciation that goes into every task.
Ben Kean
Senior Estimator/Office Manager
Ben is a true Construction Industry professional having worked in Domestic,
Commercial and Civil Construction markets. He has spent successful periods
covering the 3 different brands of Sales, Production and Project Estimating in
the domestic Construction markets for the country’s leading volume home
Builder’s Metricon Homes and Simonds Homes. As well as various roles as
Operations Manager, Production Manager and Project Manager positions
across a combination of Construction companies and the supplier side of the
industry.
Bens aspiration is to one day become and Operations Manager and or General
Manager. What Ben loves about working at Concretum is the ability to have a
direct impact on the success of the business and to help drive efficiencies
through strategic improvement.

Teagan Gal
Office Administrator
Teagan’s experience stretches over a 15 year period, working for a number of
reputable Trades and Construction Companies in her office based role. Most of
her time she’s spent working closely with concreting companies (mainly
specialising in house slabs) and with Carlisle Homes.
Teagan wishes to keep growing with her peers and with the business moving
forward. What she values about Concretum the most is the amazing team
environment and culture.
