1. Improve the essay, by firstly writing the outline of the essay,
2. Improve the Introductory paragraph (remember about a funnel introduction):
a. Decide and rewrite clearly a single thesis statement
b. Develop and rewrite general statements that must be written consistently with the
thesis statement and the body paragraphs
3. Improve the concluding paragraph by including the thesis statement and the main
ideas of every paragraph of the body.

I. Introduction
A. General Statement
A genre can refer to the primary method of movie categorization and similarities
in the narrative elements with whom they are constructed. The directors often follow
the rules of Film Grammar or cinematic principles in film literature. By following
several principles such as camera movements, sound effects, and lighting, the
directors can create a mood, and induce emotional reactions in film. In addition, the
directors also can convey and make the viewers choose their own genre to watch.

B. Thesis Statement
For this reason, film genres can be categorised by the type of setting, mood and
themes of the genre.

II. Body Paragraph


A. The film’s location is defined as the setting and it’s the main type often used to
categorize film genres.
- Type of setting in the film.
- Example of a film based on the setting.

B. The emotional charge carried throughout the movie is known as its mood.
- Type of mood in the film.
- Example of a film based on the mood.

C. There are three themes of the genre that can be chosen by the viewers.
- Horror Genre
- Comedy Genre
- Romance Genre

III. Conclusion
To sum up, film genres can be categorised by the type of setting, mood and
themes of the genre. The setting in the film is a location that is defined by the plot of
the story and the emotional charge carried throughout the movie is known by the
mood. Furthermore, there are three themes of the genre that can be chosen by the
viewers based on their own tastes.

There three more successful styles are reggae, punk and rap in 100 years or so
that has been an explosion of popular music styles in the West. First, reggae was born
on the Caribbean Island of Jamaica in the 1960s and spread throughout the world in
the 1970s. Some musicians changed mento into a music style called ska after a few
years later ska was changed and reggae was born. Second, punk began in the mid-
1970s as a reaction against the previous form of rock. The first bands to popularize
punk were the Sex Pistols and Clash in Great Britain and the Ramones in the United
States and then punk evolved into other styles. Third, rap first appeared in the mid-1
970s in the discos of New York City's. Early rap songs were mainly about dancing,
partying, and the romantic adventures of the rappers, but politics became an important
theme in rap in the late 1980s and 1990s. Finally, popular music changes constantly
and new styles are born, grow, change, and produce offshoots, which in turn grow,
change, and produce offshoots.

2. Write the Paraphrase of the Concluding Paragraph only


In conclusion, popular music is continually evolving. New fashion trends are
created, develop, change, and spawn offshoots, which themselves develop, change,
and spawn offshoots. While certain fashion trends endure, others pass out very
quickly. All nevertheless add to the intensity and vitality of contemporary popular
music.
