Selenia 3.1.6 Release Notes
1.0 Introduction
This document is provided to give you a quick overview of the new features of the Selenia
Version 3.1.6. It is not meant to replace the User’s Manual.

2.0 Issues Fixed in Selenia 3.1.6

Software fixes:
• Circumstances of intermittent Error 100 (error transferring image data) caused by EHR8
readout sequences.

Software enhancements:
• Allows the system to keep the detector on during the course of the night. Keeping the
detector on during the night will allow the detector to be “conditioned while resting.” The
system still monitors the detector temperature and will shut the detector off in the event
that the room temperature exceeds specified limits to protect the life of the detector.
• Automatically restarts the detector prior to imaging patients in the morning in the event the
system turned off the detector during the course of the night due to excessive temperature
in the room. This will now allow the detector to come up to temperature prior to imaging
patients in the morning avoiding the need for user intervention that may delay the imaging
of patients.
• Allows the system to keep the detector on during the weekend so that there is no need to
come early on Monday morning and turn the system on for early warm-up prior to imaging
patients.
• Adds more troubleshooting tools for Hologic Service use.

Contrast Enhancement for breast tissue adjacent to the skin edge

The contrast of the area around the skin edge has been increased to allow for better visibility of
tissue structures. This change will only affect screening views (i.e. standard CC and MLO views)
acquired after the installation of this software release. Images already stored into PACS cannot
be changed to allow for this enhancement.

3.0 Issues Fixed in Selenia 3.1.5
This release fixes the following circumstances:
• Circumstances of intermittent Error 100 (error transferring image data) caused by “Bad
Image Status 0x60” timing errors.
• Circumstances of intermittent Error 100 (error transferring image data) caused by “Short
AEC Frame” errors.
• Circumstances of intermittent Error 100 (error transferring image data) caused by clicking
too many times when repreviewing images.
• Some circumstances where a lag was observed in changes to the generator status.

4.0 Issues Fixed in Selenia 3.1.3

This release fixes the circumstance that can lead to images that have portions that are out of
order or skewed in appearance.

5.0 Issues Fixed in Selenia 3.1.2

This release fixes the following circumstances:
• The exposure index had been incorrectly calculated if a manual AEC sensor position is
selected for an exposure and if the chest wall is on the right side.
• Some circumstances when the USB CD-RW drive could not be accessed have been
resolved.
• The configuration backup functionality has been restored.
• Some circumstances of intermittent Error 51 (error communicating with the HTC grid) have
been resolved.

All traces of IONA Technologies products have been removed from this release and replaced with
a new product called OmniOrb. This replacement makes absolutely no changes to the Selenia
user interface.
