Visual & Mechanical Inspection
PASS FAIL N/A Description
1. Verify nameplate details are in accordance with details, drawings and specification.
2. Visually inspect equipment for external damage.
3. Inspect the equipment for alignment and secure fixings.
4. Confirm equipment is correctly located as per electrical equipment layout drawings.
5. Verify all cable entries are correct to design requirements.
6. Verify grounding conforms to project specifications. Inspect electrical equipment ground bar
and ensure all ground terminations are correct and secure.
7. Verify inside of the electrical equipment is clean, dry and silica gel, etc., has been removed and
all barriers have been installed.
8. Verify all doors can be opened and are not obstructed.
9. Visuall inspect the electrical equipment for damage.
10. Ensure that torque settings of bus bar shipping joints are in accordance with manufacturer
requirements/specifications.
11. Verify all equipment carries the correct circuit identification.
12. Verify all bus bars are encapsulated as per specifications.
13. Ensure that ducter tests are performed across all bolted shipping joints and readings are
acceptable and recorded, if applicable.
14. On completion of all cable glanding, confirm spare entries are correctly plugged.
15. Verify gaskets and seals are not damaged.
16. Verify all bolts are correct and none are missing.
17. Verify the Insulation Resistance (Equipment) Test Record (SI306‐F026) is complete.
18. Verify the Insulation Resistance (Power Cable) Test Record (SI306‐F053) is complete.
19. Verify conduits/cables for identification tags.
20. Verify continuity of all power and control cables.
