The Boy in the Striped Pajamas

Bruno is a German boy living in Nazi Germany. His family is made up of his sister Gretel, his mother
Elsa and his father Ralf, who is a soldier who is appointed to run a concentration camp. When they
arrive, Bruno thinks they are farmers and is not allowed to play in the backyard.

One day, Bruno goes into the woods and finds the concentration camp, where he befriends a boy
named Shmuel. Bruno meets him secretly and brings him food.

When Bruno's mother finds out what is happening in the concentration camp, she argues with her
husband about what they do to the Jews.

Shmuel goes to work at Bruno's house and Bruno gives him food, although they are discovered by a
soldier who asks Bruno if he gave him food and he denies it, causing Shmuel to be beaten.

Bruno's grandmother dies after a bombing and his parents argue and his mother is going to take him
and his sister to another place.

When Bruno finds out that Shmuel's father disappeared, he decides to help him by going to the
other side of the fence, but the soldiers order them, along with other prisoners, to move from there
and enter a crematorium. When his parents and sister discover that he disappeared, they look for
him until they find his clothes and his father enters the camp. Meanwhile, Bruno, Shmuel, and the
other inmates are told to remove their clothes and die. Ralf realizes what happened and shouts his
son's name and Elsa, hearing it, cries inconsolably on her son's clothes.
