Summary:

A boy named Bruno, an eight year old boy, together with his family, leave their old home

to take up residence near the concentration camp, where his father become the

commandant. Lonely and sad, he started to wander around their new home and not

knowing that he will find a new friend. Shmuel, an eight year old as well, a Jewish and

his new found friend at the back of their house, wears “striped pajamas” with numbers

on it. In front of the barbed-wire fence of the camp that separates them, it didn’t become

the hindrance to their forbidden friendship. Curiosity started to grow in Bruno. Asking

about the camp and stuff, but can’t clearly explain by Shmuel. Bruno once betrayed

Shmuel for denying their friendship. Wanting to be forgiven and befriends again, Bruno

offered help to Shmuel to find his father, who is missing and nowhere to be found. So

he sneaks inside the camp wearing also the striped pajamas that Shmuel sneaks out as

his also one of them. While searching the camp, they entered a hut and a stampede

started. They went to a not-so large room where they were told that they should remove

their clothes for the shower. Not knowing they’d entered a death chamber.
