Dear Hiring Manager,

I am honored to apply for the position of Registered Nurse in your Level 1 Trauma Emergency Room at
Chandler Regional Medical Center. A dedicated nursing student, I will be graduating in May 2023 with a
Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Arizona. My current experience in a Level
1 Trauma ER has equipped me with the calmness to face life or death situations.

Throughout my clinical experience, I have developed a great interest in emergency medicine and have
dedicated myself on becoming a registered nurse in the emergency room. My clinical experience
throughout nursing school has equipped me with proper bedside manner, compassionate patient care and
the integrity to be a diligent new nurse.

Over the course of my preceptorship, I gained knowledge from analyzing my preceptor Marissa Van
Geem and actively took initiative in learning appropriate nursing interventions for a patient’s disease
process. I have worked closely with the medical doctors in this emergency room to understand each
patient’s plan of care. I frequently monitored patient’s vitals, administered high-alert medications,
calculated medication doses, monitored EKG strips, assessed trauma red admissions, and managed patient
care independently.

I stand confident knowing that my clinical and preceptorship experiences have given me opportunities to
grow into a knowledgeable registered nurse. My preceptorship experience has prepared me to be a
valuable asset for your health care team. Thank you for your time and I look forward to discussing a place
