    People think that countries should try to produce all the food that their population eats and

    import less food as much as possible. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

    NowadaysIn recent years, importing food has been one of the most conspicous trends in
    agriculture countries and many other countries. However, some people are of the opinion
    that many noticed that policy makerspolicymakers should concentrate to on produce
    producing food for citizens needs rather than importing. It is my opinion that due to its
    potential benefits, importing food is a reasonable choice instead of producing food that
    population eats.

    To begin with, making food for citizens, it is obvious that having enough food to feed the
    population is one of an essential task of all any government. Many adopt a view that to
    address starvationfamine, the authority should allocate their budget to produce as much
    food as possible. This statement could be true to some extent. In fact, this option usually
    leads to an dead-end due to the lack of money. Take Vietnam for example, after 1975,
    Vietnamese law-makers avoided trading with other countries to develop a self-sufficient
    country. However, years later, trying to produce enough food for civilian was unable to
    address starvation and they started importing food from other nations.

    What is more, importing countries seem to have greater budget not only to feed the
    population but also allocate to other fields. It is easy to recognize that one of the common
    ways of developing countries is importing and exporting food simultaneously. In To be
    specific, the governments usually import foodraw materials in cheaper costs and remake
    itgenerate finer products then sell it for an ideal price which brings a great benefits to their
    countries. For instance, Japan, one of the countries importing huge ammount of salmon has
    been well-known of being the country exporting most sushi from salmon which made up
    their reputation in the world.

    Taking all above mentioned fact into account, it is immature to reach the conclusion that
    countries should try to make their own food rather than importing food as much as possible.
