Every day, millions of animals are trapped in cages, waiting for a scientist to reach in and take

them away for testing. Using animals for these purposes is totally unethical and abusive. Even
though successful animal testing benefits humans, the pain, and deaths of animals are not worth
the human benefits. Therefore, animals should not be used in research or product testing.

Animals are like humans; they are living creatures with the ability to hear, see, remember, smell,
and distinguish objects. Similar to human beings, animals can have many feelings and emotions;
they feel pain if they are harmed or abused. When animals are used in research or product
testing, their rights are violated. A large amount of testing results in severe suffering for the
animal and mostly results in death once the experiment is completed. The tests include forcing
the animals to inhale and consume poisonous fumes or have chemicals poured into their eyes or
rubbed into their skin.

These animals are caged, deprived of their freedom of movement, and controlled throughout
their lives. As long as animals can feel pain, using them in these experiments is inhumane and
should no longer remain legal. The European Union, Palestine, and many other countries have
banned the sale of any cosmetics or cosmetic ingredients that have been tested on animals. This
was a huge victory for animals, but changes need to be made globally.

In my opinion, animal testing should be illegal because it violates the rights of animals, causes
pain and suffering to animals, and other methods of testing product toxicity are available.
Humans cannot justify torturing and executing thousands of animals each year to perform
laboratory experiments in order to improve their own lives.
